The Investment Product Experiences (IPEx) team is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and consistent content and data that enables investors, advisors, and institutions to make informed investment choices and track the status of their investments. This team is a member of the Institutional and Intermediaries Distribution (IID) technology group that is focused on websites and internal tools to support growth and management of the US Intermediary, Global, and Institutional business.

As a software developer you will design, develop, modify, adapt and implement short- and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems, databases and applications infrastructure. You will review and interpret system requirements and business processes as well as code, test, debug and implement software solutions.

Role summary and job responsibilities:

Contributes to all parts of the SDLC, e.g., design, development, and testing

Develops technical solutions following standard methodologies

Practices automated testing and tests your work in an automated and repeatable way

Identifies and remediates technical debt

Works with existing data models and schemas and suggests changes and improvements where necessary

Demonstrates strong logic and reasoning capabilities

Delivers on well-specified work items

Uses questions and proposals to clarify requirements when unclear

Business knowledge:

Applies understanding of the Financial Services and Asset Management industries

Connects one's own work with the strategy of their team and/or department.

Can competently engage in business-led conversations.

Requirements:

BS or MS Degree in a technical discipline and 2+ years of demonstrated hands-on software engineering experience. Additional experience may substitute for degree.

General experience with Web Content Management platforms including AEM - 6.x preferred

Experience developing using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Version 6.x preferred - both HTL and Jsp

Knowledge and experience of modern front-end web technologies and frameworks such as React(required), Angular(useful), TypeScript (preferred), JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.

Experience building applications and deploying to public or private clouds, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or similar providers preferred

Strong Test-Driven Development and desire to write simple, adaptive and iterative code.

History of building fully test automated applications using testing tools and frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, WireMock, LocalStack, Jest, Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, Selenium.

Comfortable with use of modern code management and CI/CD tools such as Git, GitLab, GitLab-CI, Jenkins, Artifactory.

Proponent of agile methodology; takes leading role in sprint ceremonies, works with product owners to define scope of work, monitors and assists less experienced developers.

Adopts Secure-SDLC mentality, building in secure coding practices, OWASP security standards, and automated static and dynamic security scanning throughout the development cycle.

Stays current with many best-of-breed technologies

Programs proficiently in several languages and is comfortable switching between them

Leads code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others’ designs/code

Oversees significant pieces of development within the development lifecycle

Designs and develops practical APIs and abstractions.

Owns technical debt in their own software

Debugs large components with limited assistance and assists other engineers

Actively seeks feedback and guidance to improve technical skills (e.g., through submitting work for code review)

Works with existing data models and schemas and suggests changes and improvements where necessary

Enthusiasm for learning & results oriented

Financial industry experience is a plus
