RESPONSIBILITIES:

Installation and removal of hardware.

Ensure and accurately maintain the Data Center Asset Tracker (DCAT) database of equipment up to date in the various TRP sites around the globe.

Participate in local, out of state and international travel depending on staff availability and/or project requirements.

Provide proper daily, after hours and weekend on-call technical support.

Monitor and provide technical support for different platforms used by departments: DSView, Data Center Expert (APC Infrastructure Central), DCAT/SunBird, RF Code, and Fluke LinkWare.

Manage and plan the team for hardware requests daily, which includes space, connectivity (fiber,CAT6 ), Power and cooling capacity.

Planning at a cabinet level and escalating potential resource shortfalls for review.

Reviews due dates and assigns tasks to other members of the DCNS group and outside vendors.

Monitors the hardware placement system for new requests as entered to ensure information entered is complete and processed in a timely manner, which allows the team to meet deadlines set forth by the Business.

Provides proper daily, afterhours and weekend on-call technical support. Making sure support is available on a 24/7 basis. Provides 24/7 3rd level escalated support for CritSit data center issues.  Reviews the on-call scheduled rotation on a yearly basis and provides guidance on scheduling conflicts due to staff availability or project requirements. 

Coordinates with other technical support groups for general daily work, including project work at local and remote sites, whether is an existing site upgrade or new site implementation.

Obtains information for requirements and/or verifies requirements from vendors for new systems installations.

Work closely with the team that coordinates the receipt of new equipment delivered at Data Center locations for remote sites to ensure equipment is properly received and secured as well as ensuring timely notification to equipment owner, preventing delays in completion of hardware requests.

Ability to test optical fiber optics (single mode or Multi Mode) using fluke equipment and providing test results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Subject Matter Expert (SME) on maintenance and upkeep of the DCNS_ISS platforms.

Configurations of KVM and Terminals Servers.

Provides Maintenance, Troubleshoots, and FW Updates.

Ability to work independently and receive minimal guidance.

Take immediate actions to resolve technology service disruptions when they occur.

Uses a variety of communication mechanisms to convey information (chat, email, verbal) to various audiences including external clients, internal business partners, prospects, vendors, Principals both internally and externally.

Provides accurate and timely status for their own work and escalates when necessary.
