Position/Role: Java Developer

Location: Hyattsville, MD

Duration: 12+Months/Long Term

Please Note: This is a 100% remote role but candidates in the local to Washington, D.C. metropolitan area are preferred, however other location will be considered. Commuting expenses will not be reimbursed.

Description of Assignment:

Active IRS MBI Clearance

Work with ALC developers to convert legacy code from ALC to JAVA.

Develop modernized code in JAVA

Document existing logic

Work in agile team to modernize existing systems.        

Requirements:

Staff resource skillsets should include:

Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred with 3 years ​of experience. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates

Active IRS MBI Clearance

A minimum of 3 years collective developing applications in JAVA.

Experience working with JUnit 

Hibernate

JAVA on the mainframe

Experience with Json and Annotation

Prior experience working on Agile teams.

IRS/IMF/CADE 2 experience preferred

Excellent communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels

Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning)

Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team

Preferred Skills:- 

Experience with Spring Batch is preferred but not required

Professional skills:

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent time management

Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals
