Position/Role: Mainframe ALC Developer

Location: Hyattsville, MD

Duration: 12+Months/Long Term

Please Note: This is a 100% remote role but candidates in the local to Washington, D.C. metropolitan area are preferred, however other location will be considered

Description of Assignment/Role:

Active IRS MBI Clearance

Work with Java developers to convert legacy code from ALC to JAVA

Develop and maintain application tools used for converting and triaging legacy to modern code

Provide innovative solutions to problems encountered during code migration

Requirements:

Staff resource skillsets should include:

Active IRS MBI clearance 

Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred with 10 years of experience. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates.

Assembler programming experience (8 years preferred)

Experience with mainframe file data, JCL, run logs, and schedules

C-code and REXX development experience

Experience using Control M (or comparable) and Endevor (or comparable)

Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning)

Experience using Microsoft products including Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Skype, and Teams

Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment

Experience with Java and Eclipse is a plus

Experience with the IRS IMF application a plus

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent time management

Ability to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals

Education/Work Experience:
