Job Description:

Key Required Skills: Mongo Community edition; Designing, Building, and automating the MongoDB Infrastructure for open-source MongoDB; Proficient in scripting

Description:

Design, build, and automate the MongoDB Architecture for open-source Community Edition MongoDB

Use Python, Ansible or other similar tools to automate infrastructure tasks

Provide advice and support to application development resources

Support the standing standards, policies, and procedures of the customer team

Provide guidance in the creation and modification of standards and procedures

Provide mentorship to group members and help develop and support junior level staff

Provide after hours on-call support as well as applying changes during non-peak hours

Brief management, customer, team, or vendors using written or oral skills at appropriate technical level for audience

All other duties as assigned or directed

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience

Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in a related database field or bachelor's and 7+ years of experience in related database field or 11+ with high school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience

7+ years of hands-on experience in a related database field

4+ years of combined experience Mongo Community edition

4+ years of combined experience in designing and building infrastructure

Required Skills:

Hands-on experience with Mongo Community edition

Familiar with Mongo internals and how Mongo works outside of a GUI environment

Designing, Building, and automating the MongoDB Infrastructure for MongoDB Community Edition

Experience in using Python or Ansible to automate infrastructure tasks

Experience with MongoDB architectural knowledge

Infrastructure and configuration automation

Experience in scripting

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust

Desired Skills:

Ansible Automation experience

Git/Bitbucket

Confluence/JIRA

Working in Agile and DEVOPS environment.

Experience on automating AWS ElastiCache provisioning, administration, and maintenance.

Experience working with AWS database services including RDS, EC2, S3

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn new skills, embed with a team, solicit ideas and feedback, and have good communication skills.

Candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team.

Education/Work Experience

Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in a related database field or bachelor's and 7+ years of experience in related database field or 11+ with high school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience
