Project Description and Environment: This is SAP production Operational Support project.

SanDisk (Western Digital) has large SAP landscape which includes ECC, SCM, SRM, BW, BPC, GTS, Gateway, SLT and PI components. All major applications are running on Linux environment. The BW and BPC are running on HANA Database for analytics and reporting. All others applications are running with Oracle Database. SanDisk has Service Now to manage the process (incident, change and problem). SanDisk also using OpenText for data archiving technology. Few application are on physical and some of are running on virtualized environment.

 

Deliverables:

 

·         Working with peers and leadership tem to drive the SAP Basis compliance

·         Research the best practices to support, continuous improvement and enhancement in operational project

·         Working on recurring management reports, metrics and performance parameters

Project Description: This project was related to major enhancement in existing environment to prevent from existing additional cost to the project.

Designing and installation of SAP ADS landscape and integration with ERP system for label and invoice printing for shipment from factory.

 

Deliverables:

·         Dell Hardware procurement in virtualized environment and coordination with hardware and Operating system teams for system readiness (meeting required OS version and all software packages).

·         Oracle 11g DB database readiness for ADS landscape.

·         SAP NW7.4 and ADS system landscape installation, configuration and integration.

Project Name     :  BW Upgrade and Migration on HANA

Duration             :  May 2015 – February 2016

Role                   :  SAP Basis and HANA Architect

 

Project Description and Environment: This is an Upgrade, Migration and Unicode Conversion project for BW application. Also Hardware and OS migration is included during application migration.

Sempra’s existing BW landscape (BW7.0) is a Non-Unicode system on Oracle Database and AIX 5.3 Operating system platform. Sempra Energy planned to migrate the current BI landscape to HANA Database on HP Hardware (with Linux environment). Also planned to migrate the existing SAP application servers from AIX to Linux Operating system.

 

The migration landscape is BW DEV/ QA/ MOCK and Production. In parallel to BW migration Sempra planned to upgrade BOBJ 3.1 to 4.1 and integration of BOBJ4.1 landscape with BW7.4 on HANA landscape.

 

Along with Technical Migration and upgrade, also planned the migration of BW Integrated Planning objects from BW7.3 (with integrated planner) system to BW 7.4 on HANA systems.

 

Deliverables:

·         Establishing and implementing technical project methodologies and processes within teams relating to BW on HANA Migration using DMO with Upgrade and Unicode Conversion.

·         Technical discussion and Integration with each team members and follows internal project methodology.

·         Source landscape preparation and readiness – Oracle DB upgrade from 10.2 to 11.2 and coordinated for AIX 7.1 upgrade
