The Finance E-planning system is based on 3 different modeling. They are Segmentation, Underwriter and Expense models. These models are based on Chart of accounts, departments, Line Of Business and Time Scale. Actuals are segmented using Segmentation models and Underwrite models are updated with segmented actual. Forecast and Budget are planned by users globally (EMEA, APAC, Latin America and North America) using UW and Expense models by region. Forecast and Budget are consolidated centrally using ETL and reporting.

This project is to support FP&A team to plan their Forecast and Budget globally by region. My role is to lead the e-planning project in providing support to FP&A team by being a member of Finance Operations team using Cognos Planning tools based upon the schedule and calendar provided by FP&A team. FGEN is the source for collecting Inbound into E-planning and outbound to gather data from E-Planning.

Philips have different models like Inter Company Profit Elimination, Weekly Sales, Rolling Forecast, Annual Operation Plan(Finance), Annual Operation Plan(QxP), AOP OTM, OACM Savings, Installed based, Bottom Line Impact, Strategy Review, P&L Bridge, CCB AOP and CCB Rofo. The project is to update the models with specs provided by FP&A team and support models based upon Forecast, Budget and Month end close cycles. The regular support and maintenance includes loading actual, updating ORU’s, Cost centers, FSI items, update user security using access manager and model security using Contributor Admin consol.
