Roles and Responsibilities - (April 2012 – Sept 2013)
Role 1) - Quality Transformation – Business Analyst
· Executed $ 10 Million savings by accelerating optimization and transformation of business processes for Banking, Insurance and Procurement clients.
· Lead SSLC (Six Sigma project life cycle) using Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma Methodology. Task includes, Interact with business owners, development team and end users/SMEs to gather BRD and SRS documents and improve business outcomes.
· Establish and perform quality reviews of system process outputs, analyze and ensure jobs are run accurately, adhering to ISO standards, diagnose root cause, brainstorm and devise solution.
· Actively contribute to the elaboration and execution of various TESTING strategies applicable to the systems of interest and follow up on defects until closure.
Role 2) – Quality Control
· Establish key Governance and Control review mechanism of Standard Operating Procedures, process maps using FMEA, MSA and Control Plan methodologies.
· Establish Configuration Management like Change management and Version control, document Indexing, Business Continuity Management, maintain Scope of Work, SLA definition, Billing, process check list report, Service Quality Plan and tracking framework.
· Forecasting process parameters and generate capacity models to determine number of FTEs required for performing operational task.
(Client - UBS) – Investment Banking – June 2005 – Mar 2012

Role 1) – Reconciliation Specialist- Operations
· Assume run the bank activity for Market Control process which is Pre-matching of trades on Trade date+1 until settlement across APAC, EMEA and NA. Process involves front office to back office system feeds, pre-matching of Depot/Nostro Reconciliation and Settlement Netting of financial instruments such as Equities, OTC, derivatives, Hedge Funds, FX Market Matching, International prime brokerage, Fixed Income done vs. Exchange, Brokers & Intercompany.
· Responsible for delivering post-trade client service excellence such as, Equities reconciliation, settlement netting, settlement exception (S+1), feed file monitoring, process transformation and testing deliverables.
Role 2 ) Quality Assurance – Functional Tester/Black Box
· Experience in manual testing of financial business software application using Client Server Architecture on different environments. Manual testing of the functionality, User Acceptance test, Application migration, version upgrades, system release support, enhancements and operation readiness. Provide post-implementation support for all deliverables.
· Diversified experience in complete SDLC and STLC for QA methodology, standards and procedures such as creating Test Strategy, test plans, test cases and execute test cases and report bugs and track until closure.
· Research issues and cases to determine root cause and provide impact analysis for ongoing issues, changes and requests for new functionality.
· Functional testing of individual modules called transactions are tested, which includes,
Stock and Cash, profit and loss account on traders BOOKS, financial instruments, feed file integrity. Validation and verification process.
· Excellent experience in working with high end migration projects involving the migration of manual reconciliation to ARAMIS tool, from ARAMIS to REX tool and from REX reconciliation tool to Robust TLM tool.
· Led migration of manual reconciliation to REX 2.7 Reconciliation platform by creating BRD, designing system requirement document, source file loading, prototype matching algorithm to optimize matching ratio and propose match rule enhancements to improve STP, pre and post release testing.
· Led testing program for migration of Securities Settlement System (legacy) to SSENextGen version which was UBS’s Business most important strategic initiatives with multi-million pound per year cost and benefit.
· Re-designed the complex feed and delivery system across region and successfully led the “Early Reconciliation Delivery” project and bagged first honors in the poster competition held in London.
· Bug Tracking and reporting, generated incident report and raised JIRA Requests for failed test cases and enhancements.
· Categorized bugs based on the severity/priority and interfaced with developers on JIRA prioritization call, maintained Test Logs, test summary reports and led defect review meetings until closure.
· Lead “Factory Model” by Integrating People, Process and technology for optimum utilization of resource and evade idle time.
· Process Training SPOC, created training collaterals, conducted cross training across teams and achieved job rotation across various time zones. Training new hires.
· Manage Knowledge Transfer, Process mapping and Business requirement documentation, preparation of Business continuity plan, create Standard Operating procedures and update timely changes.
· Travelled to Connecticut (USA) for Legal and compliance project. Task includes verifying FORM
10-K and 10-Q on EDGAR database, SEC website, FINRA to ensure compliance
Process Executive Operations- (Aug 2002 - May 2005): Active member of core transition team for Reynolds& Reynolds, travelled to Atlanta (USA) in for migrating Rates and Residual process for leading Automobile Dealership Company and stabilize the process at offshore location.
