AT&T Florham Park Oct 2004 – March 2005
Assisted in the creation of a billing system to replace a mainframe system. This involved updating a Cobol compiler is such a way that it could compile mainframe code and execute it under linux allowing the same code that previously ran on the mainframe to run on a stand-alone linux system saving AT&T several thousands of dollars each run in cost

Single handedly designed, built, maintained and improved an on-line, web-based tool for scheduling, enrollment, and transcript data for all Technology Group employees. This web site tracked classroom classes as well as linking to several external vendor Web Based Training (WBT) sites. Using the web tool training database, users could correlate cost data by division including per employee expenditures for in-house and external classes and provided recommendations on savings and ROI. Performed, and was recognized for, disaster recovery efforts following the 9/11 attacks
After joining the Chief Learning Office I was Responsible for the integration of worldwide training systems data into the newly developed "Merrill Lynch University" Learning Management System. Coordinated information gathering as well as verification and data manipulation from over 30 disparate systems into the new global database. Performed analysis of training trends, calculated business unit expenditures and provided reporting by division as well as employee averages, cost information and basic ROI data.
