Service has included Enterprise Architecture CoE, implementing Architecture Governance through establishing CoE, Implementing large scale programs across large enterprises. Integration Strategy and implementations, Service Oriented Architecture Strategies and Implementation, Microservices assessments, Building and costing Target Operating Models, Training and developing staff and global resources, developing enterprise DevOps strategies and implementations, Managing Large teams of developers distributed across multiple geographies leveraging an “AnyShore” development model.
· Technology Implementation for Large telecommunication company (AT&T) as Lead on the project for a custom built Microservices CPQ system; I provided technical strategy, direction, architecture, and design. Additionally, I managed over a hundred resources distributed over several time zones including Product Owners, client VP and Directors as well as provided updates to AT&T executives on a weekly and adhoc basis.

· Lead Architect for a Leading Global Technology provider (Consumer Reports) - Lead the implementation of a custom ecommerce solution using ElasticPath eCommerce platform and MuleSoft Integration platform to deliver the next generation of subscription and member services, payment gateway, and third party integrations to enable CR to strategically grow their client base through delivering content through multiple channels.
· Lead Architect for a Leading Global Technology provider (Scansource) - Lead the implementation of a custom ecommerce solution using ElasticPath eCommerce platform.
· Architect for Digital Commerce implementation (Republic Services) – I was responsible for developing the technology architecture for a major waste management company. The integration architecture included interfacing with BMI Capture tool to generate quotes via web service calls, as well as using the TIBCO ESB to process digital commerce orders to the legacy mainframe system for account management, fulfillment, and accounting. In addition to these systems, SFDC integration was also required for lead generation (specifically abandon carts), promotions and campaign source data from the Commerce platform.
· Enterprise Architect for Large Railroad Company (Union Pacific) assessing the operational system controlling and managing the train systems. This project evaluated the Micro Services Architecture implemantion of a custom solution. I ws responsible for creating a framework for measuring the effctiveness of the implemantion from development to evaluating the ROI based on the several factorsencompassing business and technology areas.
· Solutions Architect for major Airline Company (Southwest Airlines) flight to deliver and implement the technology changes required to meet Federally Mandated changes to Crew Rest Rules. These changes included the implementation of new systems including enterprise rules engine (FICO Blaze). Several changes to the legacy J2EE applications supporting the Crew Systems, as well deliver new capabilities in availability, infrastructure, and performance to address rapid business changes and growth. This implementation required the integration of nearly all of the airlines operational systems including SAP, Flight Planning, Flight Automation, NOC, Flight Scheduling, as well as external systems using a wide range of technology platforms and solutions including WebSphere, TIBCO ESB, RESTful Web Services, Jolt APIs, SOAP, and many others.
· Solution Architect for the integration of NextGen (Southwest Airlines) flight schedules that required coordination with the development team in a highly complex rapid implementation. Coordinated with other Directors and Managers across the enterprise as well as coordinate efforts with other enterprise initiatives and release management.
· Architect / Technology Lead for large US Transportation (National Express Bus Corporation) company operating in the US and Canada. Joe lead the design, development, implementation and deployment of a custom built operations system that included integration with third party GPS tracking company and real-time data feeds vehicles. Joe also had to design the Integration into the Oracle ERP system to synchronize data for payroll through a series of web service calls and custom APIs. The team consisted of onshore developers as well as two off-shore development teams in separate geographic locations.
· Technology architect for FISERV (Walter Investments) implementation for real estate holding company. This engagement involved helping the development team build an integration strategy using SSIS. The company strategy of growth by acquisition required an integration approach that could be leveraged to integrate the various sources and forms of data from acquired companies.
· Major Financial Company (Fidelity Investments) - Provided technology audit support. This engagement involved reviewing existing controls for inbound and outbound data transport with third parties. The audit report included recommendations ranging from IT Governance to securing application data.
· Major Utilities Company (Georgia Power) - Technology adviser for execution of GLSCAPE project (General Ledger, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, and Expense). This includes working with the oracle accounts managers to build the integration specifications and custom oracle reports. This project also included building out the middleware hardware and software specifications.
· Technology Advisor to the CIO National Real Estate Organization (National Association of Realtors)- This included analysis and the resulting recommendations for assessment and re-design of the technology organization. Provided recommendations for strategic alignment and satisfaction of the IT functions to the business, as well as the alignment and optimization between parent and subsidiary organizations. Key leader in increasing business value and reducing redundant or unnecessary costs and operations.
· Technology Advisor Major Beverage Company (Cotts) – Technology Advisor to assess the ERP solution based on business requirements, controls, supportability, and sustainability. The business requirements assessment focused on the identification of how well the current BPCS ERP solution is able to meet the needs of the business. Specifically, the assessment identified business process requirements and the ERP solutions ability to meet those requirements. Evaluation of controls and supporting systems focused on the security, audit, integration, and duplication of functions as well as risk the management abilities of the BPCS ERP solution..
· Solutions Architect to Large Hotel and Leisure Company (Starwood) for the strategic planning and business intelligence/ data warehousing initiatives to handle projected growth over the next 5 years. This included working closely with SVO IT leadership to develop a roadmap and implementation plan for system integration and ongoing support of the new systems. Components of the projected included authoring functional and technical design documentation for the new system as well integration design specification for SAP business objects.

Responsible for managing development resources on and off-shore. As the technical lead Joe also had to write a significant portion of the code for the overall system, perform code reviews, and responsible for the overall implementation.

UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS (Largest US Marine Corps Division as a Comptroller and Technical Lead.) • Various locations and New Orleans, LA • 1988 to 1996.
As the Comptroller to the largest division of the Marine Corps, I was responsible for over $200 million dollars of appropriated and non-appropriated funds distributed to over 220 distinct locations. I managed ten (10) Marines and established the first online budgeting and reporting system over the internal network. The applications and systems included an ADABASE mainframe, Oracle v7, and Lotus Notes.
