When Medica’s Phoenix Program implemented the IFB line of business on a new claims platform (Health Rules) on 1/1/2014, a business priority decision was made not to attempt to extend the enhanced capability for claims processed on the new platform.

That decision was based in significant part on the small number of lives initially migrated to the Phoenix Ecosystem. But That decision is changed as the potential implementation of over 100,000 Iowa Medicaid lives on the Phoenix Ecosystem on 1/1/2016, and planned continued expansion in following years has made it a business priority to implement FWE capabilities on HealthRules for a Q1/16 implementation.
