TCS Works with American Express in building its ODL (Organized Data Layer) capability which would consolidate the data from different sources together and then create the Basic & Derived Layer which would be used by Risk Models, Scanners and Analytical Operations.  

Role and Responsibilities:

Ø  Specification Analysis:

-      Involved in analyzing the business specification documents to understand the client data from source database to load into the corresponding Hive Tables.

Ø  Design & Enhancement of Custom code module: maintenance & reports based on the customer’s requirements.

-    Involved in the preparation of High Level and Design Level Documents based on the              

     Client requirements during enhancements from Business Requirement Specification  

     Document.

-    Development of custom code modules as per the client business requirement and

It is a migration  project to migrate historic data from SYBASE to Teradata and also to load the ongoing  data into the TERADATA database from various source systems by performing all business validations .The load data would be used by the business analysts for their business growth and introducing new products in AMERCIAN EXPRESS.

This is a maintenance project  during the post phase of training. This involves various module as some of them deals with batch process also. Among them , my  module deals with login and transaction updation. When the user the enters the password wrongly for three times it should be blocked  and status should be updated in the database.

 In transaction module the credit card has to be valid and if it not valid appropriate error messages as be displayed and if not transaction has to be updated after the transaction completes.
