Project Description:

Nationwide Insurance is one of the large U.S. insurance and financial services companies based in Columbus, OH. Nationwide ranked#68 in the most recent Fortune 500 companies. Nationwide Financial Services (NFS), a component of the group, was partially floated on the New York Stock Exchange prior to being repurchased by Nationwide Mutual in 2009. It had owned the majority of NFS common stock since it had gone public in 1997.Natiwide has dozens of affiliated companies like (ALLIED General Agency Company, AMCO Insurance Company, Depositors Insurance Company, Scottsdale Insurance Company etc..). Nationwide does business in different products like Life Insurance, Banking, Retirement and Investments to Customers all-round the US. This project is mainly deal with building CCAR (Comprehensive capital analysis and review) data mart on top of EDW, EDW is GE Commercial finance Enterprise data warehouse is mainly deal with lending business of GE like HFS, FFS, CFS, ACBS.
The Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) is the Federal Reserve’s primary supervisory mechanism for assessing the capital adequacy of large, complex BHCs. Following the adoption of the “capital plans rule” in November 2011, all U.S.-domiciled, top-tier BHCs with assets of $50 billion or more are required to develop and submit annual capital plans to the Federal Reserve.
The capital plans describe the processes used by these large BHCs to ensure that they have sufficient capital to continue to serve as credit intermediaries and to provide key financial services even under very adverse economic and financial market conditions.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Understanding the Business Requirement Document’s as well as technical aspects of the Project.

Project Description:

  Currently Data is scattered around different instances and due to this if a user needs a data he needs to reach to different team and lots of money is getting absorbed to avoid this they want to bring all the data into one system where in they can access it easily and also the money also gets saved. Due to this project GE has got a saving of half a million dollars. We have used Teradata as a Data Base as a target and sources as Oracle and other systems and Informatica is been used to load the data from sources to target Database. And the reports/data is being shown to users with the help of and Java application.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Collecting the requirements from the Client and understanding the Business Requirement and Functional Document’s as well as technical aspects of the Project.

·         Creating Low level and High level and technical design documents in Informatica.

·         Worked on Informatica Power Center Designer - Source analyzer, Mapping Designer and Transformation developer.

·         Used various Informatica transformations to load data in the data warehouse

·         Used Lookup, Sequence generator, Router and Update Strategy transformations to insert, delete, and update the records for Slowly Changing Dimension tables

Project Description:

  The main objective of this project is to migrate the ISPT java based application to Venture application. ISPT is a web based portal which stores the information about the indirect sourcing details to GE. It takes data from 3 source systems E-auction details of projects are taking from web methods interface into ISPT staging area, Exception code workflow projects details are loaded by the respective team into ISPT staging area, third data source is SSP5 data mart. The ISPT application is moved to another similar kind of application called Venture, so the integrations has to pointed to new Venture Databases and Informatica mappings has to be pointed to load the Venture data bases. Also need to take the data from BTP data warehouse instead of SSP5 data mart.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Understanding the requirements as per the specification document.

·         Repointing the Source connections to new application.

·         Helping the dependent teams (WebMethods) to point their integrations to Venture application.

·         Creating the new Mappings for taking data from BTP instead of SSP5.

GEFIN and GELINT (GE Finance and Ledge Integrations)

Project Description:

  GEFIN stands for GE FINANCE and as per the word this project deals with the Finance related data. Initially the data is loaded in to GL instance and from there we pull the data into our FDM database. The data is pulled based on different conditions for which mappings are developed at Informatica. The loads run as per the oracle calendar and the same is intimated to users when the database is ready with the new data. Once the data is being loaded into the target database, users run the reports at their side using Hyperion tool.

The objective GLINT is to load the data from the Uniform instance (General Ledger) to nine different databases. GE energy services have various data warehouses and data marts for different product lines. As per the business logic, the data is pulled from the Uniform instance and loaded into different ERP’s and this is done through various mappings, sessions and workflows at Informatica.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Analysis of the specifications provided by the clients

·         Design to approach to integrate the Applications with IPS
