Project Description – Fax Eradication Agile project

Fax Eradication agile project - The objective of the Fax Eradication project is to minimize the manual entry of retrieving trade information which enters State Street in the form of fax. The objective is to automate the process of trade entry via STP. The current target is to automate around 65000 faxes.

The objective of OCR (Optical character Recognition) transformation project is to reduce manual data entry by automating high volume fax transactions in STP2 application to facilitate Straight Through Processing (STP) to back-end applications, achieved by leveraging OCR capabilities provided by Kofax application. OCR automation will be based on Kofax’s ability to recognize fax template by looking for certain words at specific locations on the fax. Kofax will capture the fields from the fax and will send them in the form of xml to STP2 application.
