As part of project to support Property and Casualty Insurance Claims System, researched data on DB2 tables, researched problems, modified and wrote programs, conducted testing, and verified data and results.  Verified the daily file transmission feed of Worker Comp claims to the third party vendor (EBIX) that posted those claims to the national Worker Comp clearinghouse (WCIRS) website; and followed up to address any problems with those file transmissions.

As part of project to address federal Regulation W requirements, as well as related Regulatory Compliance projects for HSBC’s Risk Management Systems, researched data on DB2 tables as part of analysis to create new programs and processes, wrote technical specifications for those programs, wrote some of the programs, tested the job streams, verified the results of the testing, and solved problems that came to light as a result of that testing.

For ad-hoc claims project, analyzed, designed, coded, thoroughly unit tested, system tested, and implemented process to update multiple systems for life insurance claims against any one system.  There were separate job streams and VSAM files for each product line of life insurance.  Clients could have policies in different product lines.  If a death claim came in for a client for any of the product lines, the program and process would search across product lines using the VSAM secondary indexes to process the death claim for all of the products the process found for that client.
