Design, build, and manage corporate data center facilities:
· Established criteria for site selection and design of new data centers.
· Managed the architectural / engineering design and construction of a new 40,000 square foot data center facility in Austin (2002 design – PUE 1.7).
· Managed enterprise data centers’ facilities in Austin (40k sq. ft., 2MW) and Houston (8k sq. ft., 1.5MW).

SITE EXECUTIVE - e-Business Center (Qwest-IBM collocation center) Sept. 2000 – April 2001
Established service delivery requirements, processes, plans and procedures for startup of new managed operations contract of Qwest Cybercenters.
Managed all aspects of the first Qwest-IBM collocation site (Dallas - 75k sq. ft., 16MW). Hired IT staff, implemented requirements/methodology/procedures, and established training paths/plans. Responsible for day-to-day operations, and for onsite customer relations. Site business model supported growth from 12 to 120 employees.
Assisted in startup of multiple IBM collocation sites in Dallas, including establishing staffing plans and hiring staffs.

· Managed all aspects of Facility Management for large data centers. These functions included long range planning and design, short and long term budgeting, architectural and mechanical modifications, environmental controls, physical security, maintenance contracts, space planning, office renovations and relocations, furniture purchases and renovations, telephone systems purchase / management / repair, telecom coordination for voice and data lines, disaster recovery, and problem determination on all systems.
· Managed all aspects of Data Center Management and Computer Operations for large data centers’ with 24 hours-a-day 7 days-a-week shops with multiple sites. Operations included mainframe, mini-computers, client servers, helpdesk, network, print, microfiche, and distribution. These functions included scheduling, planning, departmental coordination, budgeting, staffing, change control, hardware planning / installation / problem determination....
· Project Management responsibilities for large data center construction / renovation / relocation / consolidation. Many other projects managed under responsibilities of computer operations and facility management.
· Financially, I have been responsible for formulating short and long term departmental budgets, estimating project costs, obtaining project bids, negotiating contracts, managing financials, controlling costs, and identifying cost saving opportunities.
· All staffing functions for up to 30 personnel covering 5 shifts and multiple locations. I have created personnel polices, job descriptions, and appraisal standards. I have performed recruiting, interviewing, appraisal, and hiring / firing functions.
· Created training paths, courses, and manuals, and taught classes in every position I have held. I wrote and implemented an Operations Procedure Manual containing 100 chapters, which was utilized by four data centers.
· Established and incorporated non-profit organizations. Provided managerial assistance to other non-profit groups. I have ministered thru pastoring, missionary work, hospital chaplaincy, speaking engagements, seminars, bible study groups, counseling, written books, and as the USA-Director for an international organization for 6 years.
