Telematics is a replacement for Virtual Technician (VT). Just like VT (mentioned below), it is an IoT solution used for remote diagnostics of a truck. But it goes beyond VT in many ways – it is end-customer facing, embraces the cloud and big data technologies, has been architected for scalability, interfaces with many more systems and has abilities for updating a truck remotely.

 

Responsibilities

Ø  Management of Agile sprints using software like Microsoft Visual Studio Team Suite (VSTS) and tools like Burndown charts and Kanban boards.

Ø  Estimation, planning and delivery of the solution.

Ø  Communication with multiple vendors (SalesForce, Zuora and Zonar) and internal stakeholders (Operations, Warranty, cbFC, SpecPro etc…)

Ø  Laying out the technical framework with an eye on scale that corresponds to interacting with millions of vehicles sending data 24x7. Data received needs to be decoded, stored and acted upon in real-time.

Ø  Design, Architecture and coding of various sub projects including the front end web sites, middle tier business logic and the backend APIs behind them.

MES is a WPF based multithreaded application that is standardizing the way DTNA plants manufacture trucks. It saves DTNA millions of dollars by providing better inventory management through sensor based technologies like RFID and barcode, elimination of paper tracking, superior process control and shortage predictions.

 

Responsibilities

Ø  Studying the pain points faced by the multitude of stakeholders involved in truck manufacturing – Material Engineers, plant engineers, line supervisors, plant liaisons and third party vendors serving in different plants.

Ø  Requirements, iteration and source control management using Microsoft TFS.

Ø  Proposing a solution that addresses the majority of the pain points, competing ideas and priorities of the above stakeholders.

Ø  Translating the high level solution to a concrete set of actionable requirements with clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables, timelines and the unionized environment prevalent in automobile companies.

Ø  Integration of diverse apps like Yard Management and ShopTech with MES to reduce data duplication and promote higher worker efficiency.

Ø  Development and Integration of RFID (to track inventory), barcode scanning (to identify materials) and Pick to Light (an IoT solution used by material pickers) with the main MES solution.

Virtual Technician (VT) is a web based application that has revolutionized the way fleets maintain their trucks. It saves DTNA millions of dollars by finding faults in trucks on the road before they become serious issues for warranty claims.

 

Responsibilities

Ø  Requirement gathering from Customer Service Center, Mechatronics, Advanced Engineering, Reliability Growth and 3rd party vendors.

Ø  Requirements, iteration and source control management using Microsoft TFS.

Ø  Conceptualization and delivery of a solution that saves warranty costs, gives reliable product feedback for constant improvement and boosts customer confidence.

Ø  Design and development of a .NET 3.5 Service Oriented Architecture based SOAP and Restful middle tier and backend capable of processing hundreds of thousands of service calls per hour associated with millions of transmitting vehicles.

Ø  Design and development of a multi-threaded windows services capable of sending hundreds of thousands of emails per hour and opening tickets if needed.

Banking Center Online represent an array of bank web applications. I was involved in the migration, production support and maintenance of the following:

 

Ø  ICOM - A web application used by Bank of America for ATM/Branch cash forecasting and fulfillment. The website is also used for the payment of the vendors involved.

Ø  IRIS – Web service based application used for reporting customer and account information.

Ø  Transaction Database - Used to store information about ATM transaction. The database is more than 2 terra bytes in size. It handles around 6 million transactions every day.

Ø  BCOR/BCCR – Applications used to review the operations of Bank of America’s banking centers nationwide.

Ø  MSBCC – Application to ensure Anti Money Laundering Compliance for Money Service Businesses.

Ø  DPO – Deposit Product Operations is a website that is used to monitor productivity of employees dealing with Deposit Products. It is also used to prepare various reports related to Deposit Products.

Ø  PMG – Application used to monitor the performance of Bank of America support staff.

Ø  MPW – Missing Proof Work is a website that handles scenarios when proofs like checks are missing.

 

Responsibilities
