Oracle Exadata Administration Support:

ü  Participated in analysis and designing of oracle exadata servers for infrastructure and related projects.

ü  Part of the team that set up infrastructure to migrate gold and silver applications to exadata platform, migrating over 100 databases to Exadata.

Project 1: NextGen Billing – PS to ORMB migration

Project Description: Main aim of the project is to migrate Peoplesoft Billing system running on oracle 9i to ORMB on 11g environment Scope also includes converting/migrating 3 years of PS data to ORMB which provides the feed to downstream DW systems.

Responsibilities:

ü  Provided App dba (ERP DBA) support for NextGen billing project. App dba support requires extensive knowledge on oracle Apps (BRM).

ü  Involved in design, planning, setting up of multiple environments for development, testing, QA

ü  Capacity planning and forecasting of db size and procuring storage, system requirements

ü  Install and create databases on Exadata Platform.

ü  Install of ORMB product, setting up, configuring Application, batch servers

ü  Setting up users, roles, access, installing security protocols (db triggers, profiles etc)

ü  Created access points for application schemas, project teams between multiple interfaces that interact with Billing engine.

Project Description: Scope of the project is to run/test production batch jobs in PTE environment, which is created by RMAN partial clone using Production backup (approx. 102TB size)

Responsibilities:

ü  Provided App dba support for IRE data optimization project.

ü  Run partial clone (selective tablespaces) using RMAN to create PTE environment. After 1st run of box jobs are completed, tablespace list is revised and updated.

ü  Run DBA steps to setup IRE environment and handover to application team, so they can run the set of box jobs.

ü  Resolved issues related to logon triggers, initial setup.

ü  Automate PII column masking routines using plsql code (packages).

ü  Automate incremental data load steps using plsql code.

ü  Setup Autosys jobs for above written code to run on demand basis.

 

Project 3: Ecos Conversion, ComPAS, ADM evaluation – App dba, Shareplex DBA support

Responsibilities:

ü  Setup shareplex Replication between ECOS and IM DW databases and monitoring of shareplex replication

ü  Shareplex env upgrade from 7.6 to 8.6 version
