Ongoing Oracle Database R12.1.0.2 upgrade project from 11.2.0.2 database.
Reviewing Oracle Metalink Upgrade notes and documentation and preparing an action plan for upgrade.
Worked with Unix team, for the preparation of Server, compatible for this Oracle upgrade.

DR test is being performed on yearly basis for all the applications and databases we support.
Infrastructure level setup, while setting up new environment, to comply with DR.
Preparation of test document along with storage, unix and network team.
Simulating a DR situation, requesting application team to put a fake transaction and failover the database.
Storage, unix and network team’s assistance is required for presenting DR disks, import & mounting filesystems and DNS changes respectively.
Services are being brought up at DR servers and the fake transaction are verified for successful DR test.
SSL Implementation:
Implementation of SSL for all the application URL’s being supported.
Creating CSR file on application servers.
Requesting for certificate from authorized vendor.

All object & configurational changes of databases are being monitored.

This project was to upgrade the database from version 9.2.0.8 to 10.2.0.4. I have to review for 10.2.0.4 upgrade against PROD instance and prepare a detailed spreadsheet, so that we [DBA] should follow it during upgrade run for all the instances. As a lead DBA, I had to keep track of all the error’s encountered during test run, timings and need to update client time to time with the status/progress of the upgrade. The production upgrade was completed before the scheduled end time, without any error and was appreciated by client for the same.

Brief Project Profile:
It’s a client server application that deals with daily sales of its product to different parties (Distributors, Physicians, Exporters, and Institutional Buyers etc.). In this Sales and Analysis system, product is purchased through suppliers and is sent to various warehouses. The stock is maintained at its office as well as at the respective warehouse. From office the invoice is raised for different product and challans are generated & is sent to the desired warehouse. The goods are then shipped to the party from its warehouses and the stock is updated by maintaining its batch no.
It also keeps detailed information about the receivables (with different tax structures) and payments raised against the invoice. It provides several user-wise reports that help in analyzing their periodical sales and inventory status of their products.
Role:
