Day to day responsibilities:

·     Serve as a techno-functional lead responsible for requirement gathering and suggesting technical solutions

·     Extend EBS standard and custom functionality using custom and standard APIs, Alerts, Business Events and Oracle Form Personalization

·     Extend seeded workflows and develop new workflows

·     Work with offshore development team to develop and test technical solutions

Project Work:

·     Served as a Technical Lead in Mercury Gate Transportation Management system implementation

System Analysis:  Performed systems analysis and assisted in business requirements and business rules definition. Documented business requirements (MD050).

System Design:  Designed process flow diagrams based on business rules and requirements.

Development:  Designed and developed new table structures, indexes, views, packages, triggers, objects, records and reports to implement system design.

Created automated TOAD script to execute various actions (verifying existence of files in a particular directory, executing the call to PL/SQL package, extracting XML files as CLOBs from the data base, naming the files and placing files on a local server, Ftp’ing the files to Mercury Gate, archiving the files).

Documented technical design (MD070) of the process including functionality of each object and how and where it fits within the process. Designed code roadmap.

Integration and Testing:  Installed and tested all objects to ensure intended functionality and expected performance. Tested and verified interoperability between Oracle and Mercury Gate.

·     Designed and developed automated discrete jobs custom process

This automated process takes manually created discrete job and after performing various validations pick releases the components required to build the requested item. XML file is generated and Ftp’d to one of the 3PLs. The processes receives and processes discrete  job updates and appropriately updates quantities of items that have been build and have gone through discrete manufacturing process

·     Developed retest cylinder process

This process moves cylinders that have been shipped to Israel for retesting to a retest sub-inventory. During the move, the retest cylinder item is split into its components. Upon receipt of test cylinders back from Israel, a business event is triggered that scraps certain components and moves the other components into appropriate sub-inventory. An automated email is generated to notify Department of Finance of the quantity and items scrapped
