As a principal BI solutions architect since inception lead Freddie Mac’s Data Analytics Division on SPP, Manager Series and Alchemy, a new BI platform designed for Data Analytics team that allows Servicing Division's power users and business users the flexibility of Ad hoc analytics and reporting on performance data at any level summary or lowest grain. The platforms use of Multisource to create a federated data layer, Intelligent Cubes built and refreshed incrementally, and its reliance on Visual Insight for analysis makes it a unique and customer centric experience

Worked for Upside’s Data Engineering and Data Management team which designs, implements, and supports the OLTP app database, the ETL data streams, and data lake/data warehouse.  We ingest, store, and analyze ~3.5TB of new raw air/hotel inventory per day for use with our travel decision engine.  Along with the inventory data we collect marketing data, web app data, mobile data, and log data from multiple internal and external sources.  We then integrate all this data into an easily accessible data platform for analytics.

 

Key Achievements:

·         Designed and built Upside’s data warehouse first utilizing AWS Redshift and then expanding into a data lake / warehouse model utilizing AWS S3 Parquet files with Athena and Spectrum on top.  This data lake is the platform for all data needs from basic BI, to our advanced analytics

·         Utilize AWS Kinesis/Firehose for transporting our near real-time data sources

·         Use a combination of Matillion, and Python for data ETL into and out of the data lake.

Serious Adverse Event Tracking and Reporting System (SAETRS) provides Principal Investigators, Study Coordinators, Site Directors, Medical Monitors and NIDA personnel a tool to document, track, and report serious adverse events that occur in any NIDA-sponsored clinical study.
