Electrum platform receives eligible margin loan (EML) securities position data from various source systems, namely CASC, BUCS/CBAR, AP/ Broadcort, and GMI.  Electrum also receives Prime Brokerage OTC trade-level data from Arctic.  Information gets processed (e.g. securitization and netting) and sent to ARCTIC and ECRIS for Basel calculation. As part of PB Data Governance and Control requirement, a rigorous and robust reconciliation process is needed between the Source systems/ Sub ledger and Electrum, Electrum to ARCTIC, and ARCTIC to General Ledger.  This includes the build out of the automatic reconciliation, reporting structure, reconciliation break resolution, and escalation process.  As a Business/Data Analyst I specified the requirement for the reconciliation process between Electrum and the source systems, and Electrum to ARCTIC.  These requirements covered both Basel CEM and IMM processes.

       Basel II Capital Accord requires banks to measure Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Market Risk, and Interest Rate Risk quantitatively. As per the accord, State Street is required to internally rate counterparty at the legal entity level and maintains a Central Risk Data Repository (RDR). This repository which is like a warehouse creates a snap-shot of data needed for risk computation across

       Enterprise at pre-defined time intervals. Information from this application will contribute to generating the corporation’s economic capital, as required by SR99-18 and Pillar II of Basel II. This system shall also support the requirements for generating the regulatory capital calculation as per the Basel II accord. Business Analyst- Project 1 

       The scope of the project was to develop an application using HTML and Java which enables the company to purchase goods or services from suppliers.

       The application creates a record of the details and the amount that the company has to pay to the vendors in the form of a receipt. It maintains the invoice slips of the goods purchased and makes entries in the companies' database. It than processes the check and make cash payments to the companies while making appropriate entries. It also reconciles the payments done by the company and reviews the invoices, and finally produces monthly financial reports for the company.
