§  Developed Programs to calculate demand based on future demand input from user from Maintenance Screen using Open Edge Progress 4GL.

§  Wrote custom MRP interface for Pet Food Company on verge of leaving QAD for expiring inventory using Open Edge Progress 4GL. Out of the box functionality of QAD does not handle expire dates for inventory effectively and custom programs must be written so expire date are optimized correctly.

§  Wrote complex financial costing report for automotive part manufacturer that separated each element of costing in QAD.  Labor, Burden, Sub Contract, Material and Overhead on existing Inventory Valuation as of Date report using Open Edge Progress 4GL.  This report was presented to the CFO of this company.

§  Troubleshot a program that was written in Open Edge Progress 4GL that suddenly stopped working for automotive part manufacturer and was able to determine deletion of data.

§  Received six week training from several experienced individuals at QAD defined as Bootcamp for Consultants at QAD which teaches new consultants a methodology for consulting while at QAD.  Also received training on QAD’s WMS system.

§  Wrote PO .cim load program using Open Edge Progress 4GL which has the ability to load every field from a .csv file and create a purchase order from each line in that file.

§  Wrote a program using Open Edge Progress 4GL that mails both a .csv file and .pdf file to the user who runs the program which previously mailed just a text file and caused the user hours of excel manipulation in excel to get the data in the correct format..  

§  Passed the QAD certification test for Open Edge Progress 4GL programming standards.

§  All Open Edge Progress 4GL code written was reviewed by other technical consultants and passed self code reviews and was subject to pier code reviews.  Code written was specifically written based on methodologies and guidelines dictated by QAD.

§  Taught 3 day Open Edge Progress class to QAD customer which consisted of 8 students.

§  Wrote GL Cost program that took in consideration inventory raw materials cost. Since raw materials prices vary, the program took in consideration the average cost instead of current cost.  It provided accounting with a more accurate way to price products.

§  Wrote interfaces between QAD and custom WMS database using Open Edge Progress 4GL.

§  Wrote several scripts in AIX unix.

§  Wrote complex queries, function, and stored procedures using T-SQL.  This includes manipulates of data, including updates, deletes and inserts into the database for Logility Supply Chain system.

§  Wrote programs, functions, queries, in Open Edge Progress 4GL daily to troubleshoot requests that would arrive via help desk system from various users.

§  Was in charge of documentation for all programs, and business processes.

§  Unit tested all code written by myself and other programmers.
