·          Schedule Migration call with Implementation Teams, coordinating with approved Change window, Direct implementation/cutover and guide test plans (UAT) per MOP guidelines.

·          Host Ready Verification Process:  Ensured all steps and processes required were completed prior to cutover and were verified including equipment in rack, power and cabling installed tested, OS available and installation if required.  Created VLANs, allocated storage, opened Firewalls, and notified Server Migration Team.

·          Contracted through Business Information Systems, Inc.  Responsible for relocation and consolidation of three existing Data Centers at remote locations in NY and NJ into one facility located in Manhattan.  The new Data Center was comprised of two existing components and divided into two separate units located in the same footprint and supported by existing infrastructure.

·          Performed Needs Analysis with key client personnel to determine ongoing critical infrastructure needs and to identify day-to-day operations requirements based on client needs.

·          Designed and implemented Redundant fiber and copper carrier circuits entering the building from separate vaults and Points of entry locations and routed separately to the Data Center location to help ensure a comprehensive disaster recovery cabling scenario.

·          Responsible for managing  up to 45 engineering personnel, purchasing equipment and implementing high profile, large scale data centers both domestically and internationally.  Created and managed budgets ranging from $2.25M+.  Implement daily changes for data center configurations supporting servers and other devices.

·          Tracked, coordinated and planned rack space, created requirements and B.O.Ms, Quotations for new cabling and power requirements for additional servers and cabinets.

·          Additional responsibilities included scheduling and coordinating personnel migrations including the "re-stack" of end user related desktop and data center upgrades and changes specified. Designed footprint for and fabrication of cages, cabinets, racks, cabling, patching and the installation of new or additional IT Infrastructure equipment to support client services.

·          Designed and implemented the installation of Fiber optic cables, high-speed copper interconnect cables and structured wiring plans from POE via ladder rack, cable tray or other wireway.

·          Arranged, coordinated and monitored the installation of commercial power, transformers, switch gear, UPS systems (including emergency generator, fuel supply and battery backup), HVAC, fire protection and security.

·          Prepared and reviewed RFPs, level bids, evaluated interviews, and selected qualified vendors and contractors.

·          Managed projects for all new data center construction and expansions as well as interviewed, hired, trained and mentored facilities staff.  Used project management expertise and personnel supervisory skills to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks and to insure client expectations are met.
