Key Achievements:

In this role, I drove an initiative for the monetary operations team to increase their quality of data while simplifying their outstanding debt process all together. This enabled a reduction of outstanding debt from $23.6m to $18.6m, as well as, the ability to release our position to the market ahead of our competitors. Other achievements include, driving an initiative to amalgamate all data consumed by actuarial teams and business units for commercial and consumer insurance via harmonizing data definitions, establishing agreed derivations for metrics and creating a single point of truth data repository positioning Suncorp to draw correlations for predictive analytics. These accomplishments were achieved through the implementation of “end to end” teams increasing IP retention and growing team cohesion for BAU, project delivery and ad hoc analysis/support for all commercial and consumer insurance.

Key Achievements:

As project manager, I delivered 20+ projects within budget, on time with full benefit realization, while simultaneously moving 20% of our partner resources offshore. This resulted in a reduction of the average daily cost per person from $750 to $457. In addition, I decreased the overhead required for project delivery by implementing “Dev Ops” capability. This capability enabled a reduction in cycle time for development, introduced automated regression testing for increased data quality and a continuous integration capability for code repositories allowing for increased production releases and utilization of newly developed capability while maintaining business continuity resulting in decommissioning of a data-warehouse with a net gain of $250,000 savings annually.  Lastly, I created multiple functional teams and working groups across the organization to improve alignment of business and technical teams reducing duplication of project deliverables within the domain. In this role, I received Suncorp’s Organizational Excellence award for “Relentless Execution”; for demonstrating behaviours that help create and maintain a high-performance culture (see awards and nominations attachment).
