Responsible for managing the Oracle HR data warehouse based on Peoplesoft 8/9.x application. Worked with Functional HR Business stakeholders and IT to lay down a BI roadmap. Also worked on leading various BI projects for HR and Finance. Built and re-designed a custom HR BI star schema data model from the ground up. Was involved in performance tuning of the OBIEE dashboards, and design of new Workforce Profile dashboards. Implemented Oracle BI Apps 7.9.6 based on Peoplesoft HCM data source and adapters.  Was responsible to successfully lead an oracle project to upgrade OBIEE 10.x to OBIEE 11.x version. Created new custom dimensions and facts based on Business requirements for enhanced dashboards and reports. Built complex reports in answers and BI Publisher. Managed all Rpd changes and user security as an OBIEE administrator. Made performance improvements by designing aggregate MVs and summarizations as needed. Project Lead, Business Intelligence Group Oracle Corporation, Redwood Shores CA.              (Sep’00 – Feb ’05)

Worked as a Project Lead for the Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Contracts Business Intelligence group within the E-Business Suite of Oracle Applications. The work involved, providing Corporate Dashboards and Intelligence reporting for a suite of Oracle products like Service Contracts, Support, Service and Interaction center. Worked in the design and development of Daily Business Intelligence module, for Oracle Contracts, Service, Manufacturing and Procurement modules (releases 5.x, 6.x and 7.x). Development was done using OA/PMV Framework in Java and PL/SQL using Oracle 9i database features.  Worked on designing Base Summary Collection Programs (ETL) and created new time nested Materialized Views on top of base summaries to aggregate the data. Created the front end metadata layer needed for the key performance Intelligence Dashboards. Work  also involved, working closely with Functional Business Users for Financials, Supply Chain, CRM Service, Contracts and Interaction center. Worked in, creating workbooks for Sales forecasting using Discoverer 4i. Created custom seeded folders for Service Contracts module in Discoverer. The discoverer reports were published on an Oracle Portal and rendered as portlets. The work included fixing bugs, applying and testing patches on test, development environments and supporting Oracle production instance for 11.5.10. Was also involved in generating prototypes for 11.5.x release of the product.

Additional responsibilities included -

     *   Design and development of Daily Business Intelligence product, to develop portlets and reports for  Contracts

          Intelligence, Service Intelligence, Purchasing Intelligence and Order Management products, as part of the Oracle

          Applications DBI phase. Worked with the DBI team for three successful Software development Lifecycles of the

          Also worked in the design of new Materialized Views needed for summarizing the data. Led a team of four developers

          from Oracle India Development Center, for the DBI release of Contracts intelligence.

     *   Created layered time nested Materialized Views on top of the Base summary fact tables to aggregate data across

          different Oracle Dimensions. Was involved in the performance tuning of the MVs to incorporate Query Rewrite and fast

          refreshable features. Built front end queries and PL/SQL packages to query the relevant MVs based on Dashboards

          parameters selected. Also worked on developing the front end metadata layer AK/JRAD components needed for

Worked with the Data operations group, in providing web based data warehousing and data mining solutions for various internal teams. The development was done in Java (jdk1.2), Tcl using Apache Web Server on Unix platform. Wrote a generic consolidator in Java to extract data from different file formats and consolidate the relevant data into an Oracle (8i) Database. Work included, debugging issues and provide enhancements for the front end Tk application interface. Was also involved in database administration of the database. The Project involved parsing the raw tester data (from Semiconductor fabs)  and extracting relevant data for analysis in the data warehouse.  Additional Duties included:

       *   Writing parsing applications in tcl and java to extract data from various file formats. Most applications were written
