After preliminary testing and cost/benefit analyses switched to AWS Lambda services and implemented service using Node.JS and Express.JS. Also tested combination of Node.JS and Restify.JS.  Introduced Docker based product deployment.

Created “mock” Mobile App using React with the idea that front end team will convert the “mock” code to React Native replacing ReactDom artifacts, but preserving REDUX store.  Replaced SVG based visualizations with D3 taking advantage of the D3 transformations.

Created POC of the cross-platform Mobile App using React Native.

12/16 – 6/17, American Tower, Boca Raton, FL (remote) – Solution Architect

Company deprecated MOSS 2007.  Number of SharePoint farms contained Infopath/Workflow solutions that were not upgradable to the Office 365

Designed and implemented a generic solution for “upsizing” SharePoint workflow applications into standalone .NET solutions.    Lead development team in the implementation phase. Skills utilized: Azure, DotNetCore,  Docker, Angular 4, PowerBi Embedded.

Company was looking for a replacement of the stale Ektron WCMS

Developed a prototype and a plan for Conversion of the Ektron based WCMS into Sitecore WCMS.

Added support for Javascript Frameworks (React) to SiteCore with the goal of preserving Page Editor functionality within SPA.

Integrated Google Analytics into SiteCore and used Power BI with SiteCore xDB and providing additional insight.

Prototyped integration between SiteCore and Insite 3.7.  Concentrated on seamless integration of the Insite PIM into SiteCore using SiteCore Custom Data Source mechanism.

Implemented claims authentication by mapping ADFS provider to the internal SiteCore database and overwriting PreProcessRequest pipeline processor.

3/15– 4/16 NEG Boston, MA (telecommuting) – Cloud Architect

The client requested to build a simulation “cluster” and reporting system on top of it.  Initially the development started on Azure and then was partially migrated to AWS due to some deficiencies in the implementation of the Azure APIs.

Developing hybrid cloud application where UI and billing data reside on Azure and worker roles and BI is served from Amazon AWS.  Prototyped using Office 365 SharePoint Excel Services and Semantic Model for serving Power View via oData connected to AWS RedShift.

Architected and developed second release where Microsoft SSAS was replaced with the shard of the icCube servers. Developed Python scripts for loading simulation data into cubes and desktop app for connecting clients to the right instance.

7/14 – 2/15, 1800Flowers, NY (telecommuting) – Team Lead/Manager – Sitecore/MVC

Lead the development of the Universal Agent Application.    The catalog was managed by the Sitecore and the population relied on the external service (REST based API).  Product instances were initially synchronized weekly. Later introduced an Elastic Search layer, which allowed almost real-time view of the products and near natural language queries. Reviewed Insite B2C offering and experimented with “Insite” Pricer and Order Manager components.  Found that the Insite “Logic Configurator” for Inventory management insufficient for providing support for the business logic and architected a custom shopping cart as a set of Angular directives and WebAPI services, which also supported a disconnected mode (implemented as IndexDB).    Unity was used not only for unit testing, but also to manage injection of the fake services, because IBM service layer (the production web service) was rolled out in in a parallel track.

2/14 – 7/14 Diageo USA, Norwalk, CT – BI/SharePoint architect

Build a custom BI portal and performed technical mentoring services to the off-shore team.

Implemented single SSN and integration between on-premises and Office 365 farms initially using PingFederate.   Later switched to ADFS.

Built reports publishing infrastructure for PowerBI objects.  Prototyped Office 365 portal UI by introducing Bootstrap templates into SharePoint 2013 environment and directed off-shore team during the implementation.

Architected self-serviced BI system (Power BI and SharePoint) that aggregated data from SAP BW and Oracle ERP repositories and facilitated cross-department collaboration. SAP business logic was already implemented in BEx queries and I was able to construct a solution that was reusing that logic. The portal was started as Office 365 application and then was upsized into full-fledged MVC application as PowerBi became cloud-only solution. In the last phase of this engagement upsized the solution to Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.

6/13 – 2/2014 Direct Insite, Fort Lauderdale, Engagement Architect

Technical supervision of the development of the “FlexiTerm” MVC application for the invoice payment terms negotiation.  The UI has been implemented using Angular JS. The site was developed using “test first” methodology with emphasis on dependency injection (nInject).  Later with update to Entity Framework 5 I switched middleware to Unity.

8/2012 – 4/2013 RUST, MN (telecommuting) – Technical Delivery Manager

The company provided solutions for Medicare/medicate case management.

Implementing custom document management subsystem based on SharePoint 2013 CSOM.

Picked up a project from an outsourcing foreign consultancy.  Designed and developed process for validating the inherited code distributing it between senior team members and developing unit and performance tests and analyzing code coverage). Ended up re-implementing 60% of the code which was originally in MVC 3. Upgraded environment to MVC 4, introduced Telerik controls and (Knockout JS) for creating “standard” forms.  Integrated with AgilePoint workflow management system for handling custom “requests” from customers.

Developed data synchronization layer between iOS clients and current application by adding the API layer(s) (WCF, MVC Web-API).

The next engagement was to develop analytics to “flag” potential fraud. I recruited a team of Data Scientists and interfaced them while building a Neuro-Network, selecting training data sets and training the system.

Initially started with hosting reports in the SharePoint farm and then developed custom .NET  MVC solution (The company decided to deprecate SharePoint installations)

8/2011-1/2012  VIPRO Atlanta, SharePoint Architect/Delivery Manager

The customer (Georgia Power) had a number of document repositories located in the internal SharePoint farms. The goal was to facilitate filtering and presentation of those assets to the C-level management and  the board of directors.

Designed and implemented WCM for managing content distributed between several internal farms.  The “aggregator” solution crawled documents with preselected content types and presented them through “front end” Internet farm. Document links on that farm were dynamically replaced with calls to the SOAP services (which resided on the internal farms). The UI was enhanced by the dynamic menu (custom menu provider) driven by the content type meta information.  The site was designed with Safari and IE friendly CSS.  The main customers were accessing it from the iPads.  That was before the Bootstrap was developed so most of the existing browser corks and CSS collisions were handled manually through custom  JavaScript.
