SAP BW OS/DB Migrations from NW7.0 Solaris/Oracle to NW 7.31 Windows/HANA. SAP BW 7.0 migration to BW 7.4 running on HANA. First migrated to POC instance of NW 7.4 (Windows) and HANA (SuSE Linux) for the development Team. Then migrated entire BW Landscape to HANA following the ABAP/JAVA split, doing the OS/DB Migration to Windows/Oracle, then to Windows/HANA. Maintenance Optimizer was used to calculate the final BW component versions and files to download. The combined upgrade and migration tool was not available at this time, so we had to do this 2 step process. The current SUM tool incorporates both phases now. The parallel export and import option was used for the migration to HANA using table splitting for the 3 largest DB tables. Installed a new NW 7.4 JAVA landscape to integrate the BW HANA instance for Source Systems utilizing UDC connectivity via JDBC Drivers.
