This role has end to end responsibilities of owning the enterprise SAP template design, gathering new business requirements, fit-gap analysis & techno-functional solutioning, cost estimation, schedule and budget adherence and key stake holder expectation management with focus on integrated supply chain between process and technology areas. Following are the major activities performed as part of this role starting from current engagements:
Extended Warehouse Management implementation (Version: 9.3)
ü Requirement gathering for a complex manufacturing and warehousing process including non-SAP Manufacturing Execution System (MES-GE Proficy) with N-link (BPML compliant) as middleware
ü AS-IS and TO-BE analysis to map existing business process into ECC-EWM landscape

Implementation SAP Variant Configuration template
Implementation of SAP VC template for existing SAP instance where Sales order configuration happens outside SAP in a non-SAP software. Due to low volume of business for the product line and hence associated less budget for the initiative the requirement was to enable configuration flow from non-SAP to SAP in a cost effective manner.
Activity performed:
ü New interface conceptualized to bring configuration from non-SAP legacy system to SAP through EI infrastructure. However the design involved development of new interface and hence was not viable with respect to budgetary constraints.
ü Unique design conceptualized detailed below….
a. Developed a string with all characteristics values concatenated
b. Transfer of the string through workflow/e-mail to SAP users.
c. Developed smart out of the box design to populate the individual
characteristic value by splitting that string
d. The logic has validation of characteristics value in build in the ABAP
Function module with logic to check each character length to infer that
string length to correct characteristic.
e. The design can introduce VC functionalities for any business/ product line
and maintenance-free and cost effective.
Implementation Product Cost Collector for grouped Production order scenario
Supported introduction of Product Cost collector for manufacturing for replacement of order based costing. This was done to improve settlement process under combined production order scenario using Sap IS-Mill functionality. The need to group the production orders for multiple deliveries items for transportation optimization and maintaining sequence of manufacturing in line with delivery priority/ship-to location. Grouping of production in AS-IS process was done through activation of IS-Mill functionality. This was grouping of all child production orders under one umbrella production order. Due to inherent nature of this design all nested production orders cost was getting settled to header during settlement and since the number of nested child orders are very large, so the settlement use to take many hours and was not acceptable to business
Activity performed:
ü Grouping of Production order conceptualized through Document Management System through ‘object linking’ for Document Info Record with Production order. This is standard SAP functionality which is capable of creating soft grouping of orders
ü Delivery reference for the corresponding Production orders were achieved through classification (object linking class)
ü New order type conceptualized with Product Cost collector as settlement object
ü Configured error message to stop creation of Production order in case a material does not have the PCC already created
