Bumble Bee Foods LLC, Dec 2008 – till date. BBF (est 1899), headquartered in San Diego, CA is a leading Seafood manufacturer. With plants & 3PL Warehouses across US, Canada, Asia, it manufactures & sells canned seafood through brokers & direct customers. Went Live with SAP ECC6 in 2008, replacing BPCS (IBM AS/400). CAS (for Trade Promotion Mgmt), Vistex, BI/BO/Cognos, APO and GIS (for EDI) interface with SAP.

 

Responsibilities –

-    Work with Bumble Bee business logistics & customer service teams, understand the complex requirements, plan, design, test & manage IT solutions by configuration and custom enhancements.

-    Develop Functional specs, Test documentation, use cases, and test cycles, test conditions, detailed documentation. Assist with the functionality testing of end-to-end scenarios to verify system configuration across modules.

Cost to Serve, June 2016 – Sept 2016Cross-functional SAP & BI project for tracking Customer Profitability beyond Gross Margin. All discounts, expenses, commissions are tracked to arrive at the cost for each customer. SAP to feed BI reports through nightly batch jobs. Qlik Sense visualization tool was used to design visual dashboards for Trade Marketing department for informed decision-making. Resulted in identifying our top 15 Customers in terms of profitability, low cost and other financial parameters. APO GATP Implementation for real-time stock confirmation and reservation of stock/batches, interfacing with SAP SD, MM, FICO, Vistex modules. Batch Characteristics, Country of Origin feature were used. Extensive test planning, execution, UAT, Cutover planning to handle master data setup, inventory, vendor, customer setup, Open orders, AR/AP closures was planned. BH Customs Invoice Implementation Jun 2013 – Dec 2013 – EDI 810/880 were customized to fulfill the Canada Customs Dept requirement to transmit Stock details when IC SOs/POs/STOs are fulfilled from Blacks Harbor Plant in Canada and moved to US crossing the International borders. Custom EDI segments added to capture new custom fields like Port of Entry, Release #, PAPS# (SCAC code + Broker), Country of Origin, Customer IRS# etc. Standard ASAP methodology was followed for test execution, UAT and go-live.

 

Project Peach (COSI) Implementation, Jan 2012 – May 2012 – Utilization of Competitor’s plant (East coast) and letting the competitor use our plant (West coast), to stock and sell imitating the Consignment Process. DPS Implementation, Jun – Dec 2009 – If the customer orders are prepaid, full pallets & have sufficient lead time then Customers will get DPS discount reducing the order price. Orders will be shipped directly from our manufacturing plants instead of 3PL warehouses. This in turn help us to maintain enough stock in 3PL warehouses and save penalty fines for not maintaining enough stock.
