The GSS W7/IE8 Project is the certification of in-scope applications executing on the W7/IE8 platform. GSS has an estimated 800 applications under production support (as identified in Chameleon). Of these applications, 408 are considered critical to GSK business, or important to business unit functions. SAP AG has released a Win 7 compatible GUI (SAPGUI Version 720) which shall be installed on all Windows 7 machines to access SAP, the same was tested for WIN IE8 upgradation across various SAP systems to check for its compatibility.

Project Profile:

 

Worked for Client GSK for development project called IESS. The IESS program was managed for the import-export related to Global manufacturing and Supply (GMS) sites. The IESS programme will manage these activities as a shared service, partnering with DHL as the outsourced 3rd party service provider. GMS have embarked on this project to create a new shared service. Import & Export functions performed by GMS sites will now be carried out by this shared service. IESS will utilize a 3rd party vendor for the same DHL.

 

Role / responsibilities: Functional Consultant SAP SD.

 

·         Provided required mandatory fields/ segments, Tables which was needed by the Technical consultants to develop a customized code for the four interfaces like Sales order, Packing list and MMR.

·         Tested the developed code in Development, Quality system for MERPS &; MERPS 2 sites for the four interfaces.

·         Provided test cases as per the requirement and scenarios for Created function, change functions and others for the four interfaces.

·         Worked on QC10 Hp quality center to upload the written test cases & later have tested in SAP Quality system using QC10 for SIT testing.

I was involved in a Project for Microsoft for E&D (Entertainment &Device) division. Microsoft is a Vendor to Trading Partners like Office depot, Walmart and more for which Microsoft interacts with these Trading partners using EDI/EDIFACT for Orders where they take in the Inbound EDI orders and translates these EDI orders using Gentran/ BizTalk  application; the Technical maps developed for these Idocs are sent to their ERP system. SAP-MS is operating in two regions for E&D products EOC ( European community) NAOC (European & North America region). Every region has its own medium of sending in Order/Deliveries/Invoices files through EDI or EDIFACT.

 

Role / Responsibilities –Associate consultant SAP SD.

 

·         Performed logical gap analysis of EDI related SD/MM functions for SAP ECC 6. 

·         Developed technical specifications for inbound and outbound IDoc customization, output determination procedures and Setting up of Partner Profiles for Inbound & Outbound transaction is SAP.

·         Set up of Trading Partners id’s in SAP and involved in Setting up EDI information in Biztalk applications.

Pricing: This involved modification of transfer pricing for intercompany transaction. Additional layer of pricing based on product hierarchy was introduced. Since this was a global change a thorough impact analysis was done and all impacted objects were included in scope for change. Changes to EDI 940 and 856 were made, both of which carried the transfer price for custom purposes. Logic for calculating the transfer price was changed in respective function modules of relevant message types. Since this was a global change, it was tested for all regions. A pricing utility was also built to help users to load product hierarchy based pricing periodically.

 

Rebate Management – Designed Rebate process to pass volume rebates to small business customers based on sales volumes.

 Involved in Implementation Project ECC.5.0 in ETA Ascon Group. The project was aimed for implementation of 2nd phase SAP ECC 5.0 for 24 company codes, in ETA GROUP OF COMPANIES, Dubai. The project was initiated from July-2007 and went on Live on 2nd Jan-2008.  Whole project was divided into 3 clusters namely MANUFACTURING, CARS BUSINESS and POWER PROJECTS. The Manufacturing cluster had 7 seven company codes, Cars business having 14 company codes and Power projects having 3 company codes.
