Project Description:
The Texas Instruments project is an enterprise core upgrade and Unicode conversion activity. The overall objective of this project is to upgrade the current R/3 4.7 Enterprise environment to ECC 6.0 and perform a Unicode conversion using SAP’s Near Zero Down Time (NZDT) process. This solution will provide Texas Instruments access to new technologies from SAP as well as other products.
My role was as Functional SME and Team Lead for Logistic Execution module at onsite location Plano, Texas, USA
Responsibilities -
· Responsible for all the deliverables planned by project management in all the phases of this project. Phases of this project are like As Is, Blueprint, Realization and Go Live.
· Need to understand SOW and make sure my deliverables are within SOW of this Project.
· Responsible for all deliverables related to LE area and also lead offshore counterparts to make these deliverables defect free and timely manner as per Project Plan.
· Active participation in all the meetings and workshops arranged with Business users to take various decisions during Blueprint and Realization Phase.
· Monitoring defect and its Priority, which will get recorded in HPQC tool during FUT, SIT and UAT phase. Also responsible to assign these defects to correct team to get it resolved.
· As a Team Lead for Logistics Execution, I was responsible to maintain smooth coordination between onshore and offshore for delegation of work and to get status on regular basis.
· Monitored offshore activities regularly and reported to onshore Project Management Lead as and when required.
· During Blueprinting phase I actively participated in various meetings with business users to finalize impact assessment of various new transactions, programs and core mod/Smash objects dispositions.
· Captured various screen and functionality level differences between R3 4.7 and ECC 6 as a part of Business readiness activity during Blueprinting Phase.
· As a part of project deliverables during Blueprint phase, completed first pass analysis of SPDD/SPOU /Smash objects to make decision on Keep the object or revert to standard SAP during upgrade to ECC 6.0.
· Was responsibility for Functional Unit testing and System Integration testing during Realization phase of this Project.
· Actively involved in Functional Unit testing and System Integration testing for Logistics Execution Module. Testing includes various standard and customized processes for LE.
· During this phase I demonstrated proactive and ownership approach for all the defects logged in HPQC to get those resolved in stipulated time. I maintained necessary coordination between business users and IBM development team.
· Provided my all assistance to development team from Functional perspective to understand test sequence behind defect and to replicate defect as and when needed.
· Actively participated in all review and status meetings/discussion during FUT, SIT and UAT phase.
· Worked on Automation of Test scripts for various Business scenarios for SAP and WEB using tool ‘’Worksoft Certify’’

This project was all about to provide functional support to existing SAP processes and implementation of new enhancements.
My role consisted of the following activities -
· Responsible for delivering complete solution for the assigned technical task within estimated time.
· Responsible for providing Root cause analysis and solution for the recurring errors getting to the Client while performing business transactions.
· Responsible for providing solution to key users on Business critical issues with respect to SAP.
· Responsible for preparing functional specifications for Change requests approved by client.

· Various change requests created to develop Functional modules so that required data related to PO, Order, Delivery, Invoice, stock, etc in SAP get extracted by COL team and subsequently COL database gets update. I was involved in preparing Functional specifications and in Unit testing of these change requests.
