PROJECT DETAILS

Position: SAP SD & MM Consultant            at Wipro Technologies          

Client: Apple Inc                                                                                September 2010 – Aug 2013

As an SAP SD&MM consultant, worked on multiple rollout and enhancement projects involving third party sales and procurement, 3PL management, returns and inventory balance processes in AMR, EMEA & APAC regions. Worked extensively in SAP EDI/IDOCs, interfaces, EDI/RFC integration with 3^rd party logistics like CEVA, DHL, Shenker Logistics and vendors. Involved in configuration specific to new plant setup, transport validation, functional specs preparation for projects in AMR region. Led unit testing, Integration testing and supported User Acceptance testing, Regression testing, Performance testing, cutover and Go-Live support. Have experience in addressing client requirements at both offshore and onsite (Apple Inc, Cork, Ireland) providing end-user training and UAT support. Performed cutover activities for new rollouts that include master data, condition record & TVARV setup, TDM job scheduling, batch management and table maintenance.

Project I: Buy/Sell Design & Rollouts

The project has a core vision of delivering an auditable, real time, and automated process. It involves the automation of communication between clients; it’s Suppliers and OEM partners. The rollout involves customized third party scenarios and 3PL returns processes in SAP. The project also involves learning and implementation of client-specific service strategies across the diversified customer business. Buy/Sell program has strategic benefits as below:

• Control and visibility of critical components in supply chain
• Price Masking - OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturer) have no visibility of cost from supplier
• Prevention of rebates from Supplier to OEM
• To mitigate relationship between OEMs and suppliers. (Credit issues/forecasts etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the business requirements, performed GAP analysis, Co-ordinated Business and System playbacks. Prepared functional specifications and performed enhancements to the processes
• Performed unit testing and end to end Integration testing of new design changes

The project involves SD and New Carrier rollouts in EMEA region, by configuring new entities in SAP and related systems.

Responsibilities:

• Supported rollout of master data and configuration from existing sales org to new sales organizations in EMEA.
• Handled the functional part of the project. I was involved in the configuration set-up, new plant creation, table and cut-over task maintenance, unit testing, Integration testing, UAT and Go-live for EMEA region
• Coordinated and reviewed the requirements with business teams and finalized them.
• Prepared Blueprint and involved in High Level Design.
• Worked on technical and functional specifications. Co-ordinated with ABAP team for development.
