Project 1: APPS Mitigation

Senior Business/Quality Analyst

TMNA Services, LLC are in the process to replace their in-house application APPS (Access PHLY Processing System used as a Policy Admin, Billing and Claims Processing System) with Guidewire Policy Center and Billing Center, which will be used for handling and billing of the new and renewal business once it goes LIVE. However, the claims will still continue to process in APPS. I was involved in APPS Mitigation, i.e, to make any required changes to the functionality of existing application that would be impacted as a result of introduction of a new billing system.

 

·         Created themes and user stories out of a large set of requirements for mitigating their in-house Policy admin, billing, and claims system because of introduction of Guidewire Policy Center and Billing Center for their new and renewal business.

·         Assisted project manager in charting out the project plan.

·         Led a team of 3 business analysts and 5 quality analysts and was responsible to assign and track their work on a daily basis.

·         Prepared functional and technical requirements documents (user stories) containing Acceptance criteria and received sign-offs from the business.

Project 2: Records and Information Management (RIM) Initiative

Senior Analyst

Tokio Marine North America Inc., including its subsidiaries and affiliates, has established a Records and Information Management (“RIM”) program to provide for the preservation of various categories of Records for specific periods and to provide for systematic discarding of materials that no longer need to be retained.  The overall scope of the RIM program is to ensure that company records are managed consistently and are retained for the minimum periods specified in applicable laws and regulations. As an analyst, I was involved in identifying what company records need to be in compliance with the retention schedule and to implement a purging process (automatic or manual) for these records. I was also involved in migration of unstructured records to a storage repository to manage them better.

·         Helped the law firm, DLA Piper, to determine the retention schedule for TMNA group of companies and finalized the retention schedule (containing 212 record series) in consultation with legal records retention analyst.

·         Identified the key stakeholders who had a vested interest in the project and determined the stakeholders list and responsibilities. Identified Local Records Coordinators (LRCs) for each department (41) in each group company (4).

·         Created a template to conduct surveys across each department for each group company to identify the locations where and how each department stores their records.

·         Helped LRCs fill the surveys correctly and was a single point of contact for their questions.

·         Suggested the creation of a database to easily manage the large data received as survey results and created the database.

·         Conducted in-depth analysis of the database and survey results (41 departments, 63 Information systems, 212 record series), generated reports in Cognos, and presented the results to the higher management for their feedback on further steps.
