Position: Cognos Subject Matter Expert – Aviation

Duties Include:

·         Perform Cognos upgrades from 8.4 to 10.2.1 for Dev, QA & Production Servers. Multi-Server installs

·         Work with IBM to create of a custom script for Cognos Content Store Inventory needs.

·         Convert 7.4 Cognos Transformer Cube Models to version 8.4 with Framework Manager Packages as data sources.

·         Designed and Setup a multiple server three tier Internet / Intranet Cognos Environment. Version: Cognos 10.1.1 - Windows Server 2008.

·         This particular project required the usage and services of multiple GE departments and resources for appropriate data and security systems (Teradata to SQL server, GE Customer’s data to Sql Server, SiteMinder to AD, etc). While this would be considered typical for most companies, it was the first of its kind at GE.

·         Established the first Cognos deployment within GE to use multiple trusted signons between SiteMinder and AD (Active Directory) for a Cognos single signon access.

·         In charge of user securities within Cognos, Servers, Sql Server and Active Directory.

·         Developed and executed a Disaster Recovery plan.

·         Document and graph information for GE’s application tollgate approval process.
