Project Description: Bank of the West is a regional financial services company, headquartered in San Francisco, California. It is a subsidiary of BNP Paribas. As part of the BIDM (Business Intelligence and Data Management) team, I worked in various projects using shell scripting, SQL, Oracle, Informatica and few other tools to accomplish different assignments.

Responsibilities:

      As one of the Lead member of Enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) Team - Project   (Landis):

·         Assisted in designing the ETL approach for loading the MDM stage tables from the EDW Datastore tables for few source systems.

·         Involved in analysis of source to target mapping provided by BSA and prepare technical design documents.

·         Developed ETL code for loading multiple source systems (10) data from EDW Datastore tables to the MDM stage tables which serve as source data for the Master Data Management Program for identifying customers and related Information.

·         Developed/tuned SQL for extracting the data from the datastore tables.With clause, aggregate, analytic functions, multiple joins, Oracle functions, user defined functions were extensively used in these extract queries and to load data into Party, Account, Product and their child tables like party address, party ID Detail, party/Account related org etc.

Project Description: Healthcare is one of the largest managed healthcare companies in USA. In this assignment, I worked in multiple projects involving Anthem’s Provider System data. Project - DSC v1.0/v2.0:The Data Submission Capability (DSC) is one of the work-streams of the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). This capability will enable the states and territories, or any authorised data-provider, to submit data via an interface for validation and quality assurance, in preparation for transformation and storage in the EDW.

Project –MBS Statistics: This project will enable Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS) team to access MBS claims data which is available in National Health Reform EDW which needs to be enhanced and transformed further to meet the requirements. A DataMart with 6 dimensions and 1 Fact table was created to meet the requirements.

Project – MBD-PHI: Medicare Benefits Division – Private health Insurance Board was using excel spreadsheets for all their reporting and analytics.  The excel spreadsheets are reaching capacity and the data needs to be split across multiple spreadsheets due to the size of the data.  The spreadsheets contain macros and links which are manually intensive to maintain and are difficult to problem solve when a link is corrupted. The project was to convert these Excel files into comma separated files using Informatica DT studio, load them to ODS tables and then give access to users to these tables.

Responsibilities:

Project - NPS (Net Promoter Score): Net Promoter Scores (NPS) is a key metric to help drive change and growth across the bank. This project objective is to refine and automate the NPS process. The project was aimed at extracting customer data from multiple sources across Westpac and then applying rules to select list of customers to be surveyed.

Project – TRIAD Cards: Project was to move the existing TRIAD Cards data from the TRIAD system to the ST George Warehouse which is subsequently used for generating reports to track the credit line offers and monthly review of high end over limit accounts.

Project – Group Customer Master (GCM): GCM (Group Customer Master) is one of the strategic initiatives in the IT Transformation Program. The purpose of GCM is to deliver the Customer Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities for the Westpac Group and to replace the existing capabilities in St George and Westpac. The Oracle Universal Customer Master (UCM) software package has been selected to be the basis for the GCM target state. GCM will be rolled out in multiple implementation releases across a period of 3 to 5 years.
