·         Worked in a dynamic enterprise data organization. Scrum master for teams that developed software around various big data systems: Oracle Big Data Appliance, Oracle Exadata, Vertica.

·         Used Scaled Agile Framework, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies to build teams, perform standard Scrum/SAFe ceremonies and resolve any roadblocks encountered so the teams could be most productive. Led two teams concurrently.

·         Led a project for outside consultants to provide a Network Assessment of four affiliate companies. On-time completion of SOW deliverables included recommendations and a network roadmap to fill gaps in corporate strategy, standards, compliance, and best practices. Release Coordinator/Kroger

·         Release Coordinator and Development Lead for Kroger Video Management System. KVMS is a closed-circuit security system. The software system, along with specialized camera hardware and firmware, was designed and built in-house from the ground up by Kroger Research & Development and a third-party partner. The system uses a Windows C/C++ PC GUI application and drivers, .NET remote web client, various application and infrastructure services written in Java, C and C++, SQL Server DB, and IIS Web Server.

·         Took the system from an R&D application to production reliability and supportability standards. Wrote operational requirements documents including Use Cases and User Stories for Camera Diagnostic Dashboard, audit trail, backward compatibility, fallback process, and camera password management.

·         Created the processes to enable the system to be deployed and supported to thousands of Kroger locations and to use many hundred thousand cameras. Worked to define processes to upgrade camera firmware. Manual installations were automated.

·         Created development processes to improve quality. Led a team of nine onshore and offshore engineers. Created and tracked development schedules. Defined a custom JIRA workflow to track tasks and assignments.

·         Setup repeatable development construction, release and phased rollout steps. ·         Project Manager for concurrent projects at one of Ohio’s largest employers. Managed the integration and deployment of third-party vendor software related to clinical patient care monitoring, point of sale, health club management, and patient payments. Planview Enterprise v10 along with Microsoft Project v2010 applications were used with the Planview Prisms methodology.

·         Implemented a new Cashless Payment System for six hospital cafeterias and six gift shops so employees can make purchases for deduction from pay checks. Integrated the new system with Payroll, Human Resources, Finance and seven different security applications. The new system uses CBORD Odyssey, Micros, and Epic software and hardware. Added a new network in each hospital protected by VendorSafe monitoring and Juniper firewalls to safeguard credit information. This solution became the model for the corporate PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance strategy and added more complexity to the project. Replaced the point of sale registers and management software in six hospital cafeterias.

·         Upgraded CSI Software Spectrum NG health club management software from v9 to the NG next generation version. Also upgraded workstation and specialized peripheral hardware for three health clubs.

·         Standardized patient payments from different applications and methods in the decentralized enterprise by replacing with RevSpring DataView, DataRegister, and Patient Portal products. With the three new products, seven regions, and ambulatory/non-ambulatory locations, there were 20 distinct subprojects. Replaced dialup credit card machines with card readers attached to workstations. Managed a team to create integration between the Revspring products and HIS systems such as McKesson Star, Meditech, and Invision. The total enterprise-wide project involved more than 200 project team members, 1,000 users, 200 locations

·         The above projects moved the enterprise closer to PCI compliance. Worked with Price Waterhouse Coopers who were engaged to make a strategy recommendation for achieving compliance.
