Description:    Pepsico Business Teams and Field Teams use BIS support Applications for many purposes like assignment of the customer Reps/Drivers on the Routes , tracking the working days and hours of the Drivers on different Routes, sales of the Pepsi Products, uploading different deals for different times of the year , sending the Delivery Notifications , forecasting and scheduling for different weeks and Reporting through different applications like MasterFiles, Deals Automation, SKI, ENS, Mpm, RSC .

 

Responsibilities Handled:

  • There are around 6000 to 10000 Delivery Notifications sent each day by Pepsico. Earlier there was a issue in the Notifications sent, there was a reported failure of around 20 to 25 % in the delivery of these notifications. I was involved in analysing the existing systems and made changes to the existing systems as a part of a team using Multithreading Java Concepts , JMS , Apple open source JavaPns api to ensure successful delivery With the changes we did to the existing systems, the notifications that are sent today are 100% which is a great significance to the Business teams of Pepsico .
  • Pepsico Business Teams and Field Teams are using Rogers Network for sending the SMS delivery Notifications in Canada. The systems are built in Java, J2ee technologies. I was involved in analysing the existing systems and made changes to the existing systems as a part of a team to build the Capability of sending SMS Notifications to Canada handhelds through Jasper SMCC instead of Rogers.

·         I worked on developing the Deal Automation system wherein new Deals could be uploaded by Pepsico Business Teams.

Description:    The EMETA project is related to the users subscribing online on the different magazine brands like Billboard with Nielsen business media.

·         There are thousands of users subscribed on the Billboard magazine. The users that had the subscription had to be manually renewed once their current subscription ended. I worked on developing the Auto Renewal feature for the subscribers wherein they had the choice of selection of a auto renewal for the 3 month subscription or 6 month subscription .When the user’s subscription was ending, an auto email was sent to the users and the subscription was Auto renewed. I worked in a team to develop the system for Auto renewal .

·         In addition to this , I developed some other pages of the application like Forgot password, Payment History, Payment Screen for the users and the Admin screens for the Billboard Admin users for some of the Administrative functionalities.

Description:    Citi Group is a leading Financial company which has web applications for doing Bulk Trade uploads and Auto Custom Calibration.

 

Responsibilities Handled :

  • I Interacted with the Business Teams to perform requirement analysis, delegating the requirements to the offshore development team, setting up the framework for the building and deploying the application using Ant build tool, creation of the stored procedures and loading and publishing them to the Sybase database, development of the SDLC documents and Test cases, development and integration of the code with the existing system.
  • I was involved in Creation of bulk upload utility from Excel into PortfolioTrader system. The utility provided an Interim solution to accurately capture Trades in PT system on Trade date that could handle high volume of tranche trades and maintain the high standard of trade capture by setting up a macro to bulk upload trades from the daily blotter into the System and providing a means to upload data into the system and flag any errors to the user. Assuming that the tranche trades capture volume were 60 to 70 trades a day, NY Correlation desk MO estimated to reduce 60-90 minutes of work per day by eliminating the process that were currently performed.  This also helped with the number of breaks that occurred between the blotter and system.
  • I analyzed the requirement, designed the solution for the Business need of a automated server side Calibration process to serve as a benchmark. This is running against observed market tranche quotes and is using all required market data as inputs to the analytics library. Automated the calibration process and replaced the existing manual tool and Generated Custom Sensitivities.
  • I made the UI screens on the Applications using java, j2ee technologies, shell scripts and writing backend processes using stored procedures and Functions in Sybase.
