§ Managed and lead a staff of programmer analysts in the design, programming & implementation of numerous manufacturing applications on the IBM AS/400 with day-to-day, hands on programming responsibilities Using JD Edwards World Software with RPG, RPGLE and RPG ILE. Applications involved very heavy interactive programming.
§ Lead teams on migrating from System/36 to AS/400.

§ Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
§ Designed, wrote, tested, implemented and documented the following projects that saved the company hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is a portion of the projects I have implemented.
1. Eliminate 5 data entry clerks and 3 order entry processors. This project included streamlining processes to eliminate duplication of efforts within the company. Estimated savings was $200,000 per year.
2. Implemented Vanguard IMS/21 imaging software which eliminated filing and storage of customer orders and documents. This saves hours of time each day by eliminating filing, printing extra copy for filing, and accounting employees and/or customer services personnel sifting through the files to find a copy of a document. It also identifies if we are missing and expected document in case of a clerical error in shipping which essentially eliminates the loss of paperwork signed by the driver. Estimated annual savings $40,000.
3. Streamline receipts routing process for imported goods from overseas containers. This saved $100,000 annually.
4. Automation of Raw Material ordering system for finished goods production within departments. Eliminate the need for a dispatcher and duplication of efforts. Also prevents over ordering of product to department which cut down on return to stock for raw materials. This saved $100,000 annually.
5. Implement signature capture for shipping loads from truck drivers. This eliminated an office clerk from gathering all shipment paperwork, scanning and indexing into imaging system. This eliminates missed signatures by driver and proof of delivery is 100%. Annual savings $100,000.
6. Implemented Finished Goods Physical Inventory System.
7. Implemented Raw Material Physical Inventory System.
8. Implemented FIFO process for shipping finished goods to customers. This process will guide the hi low driver to the oldest finished goods skid the building to rotate old inventory.
9. Implemented home base replenishment system to eliminate searching for hi low drivers to fill empty home bases. This avoids downtime for order pickers.
10.Assisted in implementation of Pick To Light picking system. This eliminated having to use 20 additional workers to pick orders.
11.Implementation of warehouse locator system using wireless
12. devices on hi low and forklift trucks. Avoidance of duplication of efforts by eliminating manual inventory system. This eliminated 2 inventory office workers and changed inventory accuracy from 82% to 99%.
