Led decommission / migration projects for 100+ Global applications to the Software Defined Data Center environment, changing to application as a service delivery. Application rationalization process included; in-house virtualization, cloud migration or decommission. Senior Consultant, Application Migration Team Multiple client engagements
Danske Bank – Led and Directed a Strategy Team designing the “Five Application Migration pilot” project for Danske Bank, the leading bank in Denmark. The Bank is adopting a new strategy for providing IT Infrastructure and Data Center Services to improve IT response to changing business needs. As part of insourcing for the Bank, created a Pilot to test an application migration process prior to moving their portfolio of 3,000 business applications. Responsibility included delivery of a full application migration strategy. Managed development of documentation and templates to be used for all aspects of migration planning. Led creation of application profiles, including validated inventory and dependency mappings. Defined a migration strategy for each application and developed SOPs for move methodologies encompassing preparation of migration plans and schedules. Presented weekly progress to executive stakeholders.
MSCI – Effectively managed the migration of all corporate applications including those in Human Resources and Financial sectors. In addition, acted as a Scrum Master running the daily application huddle-call where all application issues, tracked as JIRA tickets, were discussed, prioritized, and tracked until their resolution. Initiated “no server left behind”, a search for orphaned servers and / or applications that were then migrated at an expedited rate to avoid service disruptions. CST was engaged by MSCI, a US-based provider of stock market indexes and equity portfolio analysis tools, for a multi-year and multi-site data center migration program.
AFFINION – Designed and implemented high availability program for Travel and Loyalty applications. Led work with Release Managers and Application Development teams to create hour by hour migration plans as well as a new release process that incorporated the Active – Passive Data Center Swing. Coordinated an effort with the Client and the Data Center hosting management to create a complex responsibility-matrix, KPI and Metrics to support the applications in the long run. The program was responsible for moving applications that services redemptions worth over $2.5 billion per year and is used by millions of consumers. This resulted in improved availability and the creation of a competitive advantage for Affinion Group.
