The Integrated Tape Processing (ITP) system was created to dynamically generate COBOL/DB2 programs and JCL which, when executed, create billing files that are delivered to clients and third parties through online CICS screens. There are 4 types of billing files created in the ITP batch system:1) Standard CDL (claim detail layout),2) Custom CDL 3) ITP-based custom billing file and 4) Custom billing file. The input to the ITP process is a file containing 2510 byte records that are extracted from the Information Warehouse (IW), a Teradata database that stores the medical bills expenditure and insurance claim information for the Medical Insurance Policy taken from the Insurance providing company for the claims integration and processing.
