This includes technical solutions as well as time management and resources.
Databases include Primary and Standby (Data Guard) utilizing file system storage and raw devices via ASM.
Data center migration using RMAN to build standby creating dual standby environment to ensure minimal down time.
Engaging with team evaluating local DBaaS solution using 12c PDB’s, supporting application team for code migration and engaging in development lifecycle using Agile and Waterfall methods.
Day to day activities include performance tuning of SQL using Trace file and AWR for analysis, RMAN backup and recovery as needed, database refreshes (full using RMAN and partial via DataPump), standby (Data Guard) maintenance etc.
Participating in change management process to implement production change controls.
Internal auditor to validate Netback setup and policy per business requirements, also Internal auditor for tracking utilization of Advanced compression feature (this is a licensed product), and removing the same from all supported databases. This includes tracking/ identifying all occurrences of this feature and putting in place a plan for its removal and execution of the plan.
Architecting / Implementing the overall solution to capture data from Oracle Cloud (RDBMS 12c), via Golden Gate (12c) onto multiple on - premise (RDBMS 11g / 12c) database targets, including typical trail files for a 24 hour period expected to reach 1TB in size, the replicat / target location is on premise and pulling data from Oracle cloud services via the SaaS model. Installed GG server on a standalone VM and configured to support multiple targets.
