Home Depot engagement with Pivotal Labs:

  • Special project, worked at Pivotal Labs in NYC as part of the initial engagement with Pivotal to help Home Depot with the transformation to Modern Software Development.
  • Immersed in an Agile XP team and paired with Pivotal Engineers, Product Managers and Designers.
  • Chose to be part of this engagement to help lead the charge of Home Depot’s IT transformation.
  • Full stack development approach to rewrite of Rental Systems using Ruby on Rails, Javscript and some Angular JS for frontend.
  • All code written using red-green-refactor TDD cycle using Capybara, RSPEC and Jasmine.
  • We were the first Home Depot team that used Pivotal Cloud Foundry PaaS for application hosting to set up Continuous Delivery.

Highlights:

  • Product Manager of a team focusing on solving problems that many large managed Pro customers have doing business with Home Depot, using customer centric Lean Agile Methodology for continuous improvement and incremental changes while measuring results.
