Team Lead and Sr. Developer.

Real time reporting for event order changes – Starwood property users wanted to check just the changes made to event orders in real time for last minute decision making. These reports are to be sourced from sales DW using Informatica, Goldengate and microstrategy. Below are my roles and responsibilities,

·         Involved in requirement gathering, design, technical and ETL mapping documentation.

·         Developed Informatica ETL mappings, prepared DB scripts to create tables and packages, also Goldengate mappings for data replication, from sales OLTP (Oracle 11g) to DW(Exadata).

·         Developed Microstrategy change log reports for real time reporting using Grid and Dashboard to give insight to changes in events, orders and other information for last minute decision making.

·         Unit testing ETLs, co-ordinate with testing team, support team and change management and related application teams for deployment.

·         Providing the capacity plan for the entire team including offshore team and working with product managers for release planning.

·         Collaborate with business team for UAT, scrum calls with clients and other status calls.

·         Review of all offshore deliverables and artifacts.

Microstrategy Standby environment – Build Microstrategy standby environment using existing metadata in case if we have to share more load or to avoid downtime of the system when we have any OS patch to be applied.

·         Migrate metadata to a separate database.

Sales DW Implementation and data migration – Implement Sales DW Phase-1 for new sales OLTP system and automate data migration and integration process from legacy distributed sales OLTP system to centralized OLTP and DW during weekly property conversion using Informatica, Goldengate and Microstrategy. Below are my roles and responsibilities,

·         Develop Informatica and Goldengate mappings for data integration and migration.

·         Develop microstrategy grid reports and dashboards for pace, productivity, change logs and commissions.

·         Attended multiple critsit calls during production support and resolved issues over the call.

·         Working with offshore technical team on requirements translations and action items to be followed with onshore business team.

·         Prepare SQL/PL-SQL queries for data patching, initial load and data analysis.

·         Prepare design and ETL mapping documents.

·         Collaborate with testing, support, change management and business teams for deployment and UAT.

Travel Agent Commissions – Business team wanted to enhance the commission payout automate process for new travel agents thorough 3^rd party pay systems. As a requirement for that we have to send revenue and room nights for each travel agents in separate flat files based on the travel agent names. This has to be sent every fortnight to 3^rd party and process their acknowledgement and reject files for next cycle.

Roles and responsibilities:

·         Develop high level design and ETL mapping document.

·         Create ETL mappings, pl/sql procedure for data load and mark rejected reservations.

·         Create Unix shell scripts for ftp and parameter file generation.

·         Co-ordinate with 3^rd party vendor to set up the handshake between this process.

·         Handled complete client interactions related to this project.

Call Center Productivity reports – Implement DW reporting for call center productivity and individual agent’s performance.

·         Cascade, transform and load 400 files sent from all call centers across globe every 20 minutes with call details using informatica mapping.

DW platform Upgrade – Upgrade complete DW platform with Informatica 9.1, Microstrategy 9.0, Oracle Goldengate and Exadata. Below are my roles and responsibilities,

·         As a team, upgraded informatica from version 8.1 to 9.1 and oracle 10g to Exadata 11g.

·         Develop automated process for Microstrategy user creation using LDAP and PL/SQL procedures.

·         Support and maintenance of 2 parallel production DW system for 4 months, with 400 ELTs in each system.

·         Automate manual and repetitive jobs.

·         Gathering inventory for 400 ETLs using metadata.

·         Performance tuning of ETLs, Pl/Sql procedures and microstrategy reports because of change in DB.

·         Bug fixes, data patching and data analysis for anomalies.

·         Migrate oracle CDC to Goldengate for change data capture and mirror replication.

·         Change Unix shell scripts as part of FTP standard process.

·         Monitor around 400 nightly ETLs in different subject areas and fix failures.
