Project Description: @Apple, I am responsible for managing 2 teams. · Support Site – as a Technical project manager and scrum master. · Bonsai/ Unified Support Site – as a scrum master.
Support Site - is Apple’s web based application used for showing various apple production knowledge base articles. Its is exposed to the internet for searching HowTo articles, Technical Specification of various Apple products, Manuals and software download articles. Support Site is standard Java/ J2EE web based software. I manage maintenance, support and enhancement of Support Site for servicing knowledge based articles for anyone accessing the site (support.apple.com) over the internet. Bonsai – a.k.a Unified Support Site, is the project to onboard Support Site to Adobe AEM platform along with apple.com/support. The underlying system is Adobe AEM, where the team is divided into 2, Core and Component. Core is primarily responsible to working on backend AEM functional core module support like publishing and translation, whereas Component team is responsible for UI enhancement & support. I manage the core team as Scrum master.
Contributions : Ø My role is to serve as Technical Project Manager for Infogain’s team that is responsible for maintenance and enhancement of Apple’s Support Site J2EE based application. Ø Working with 12 members at offshore ensuring global delivery of the product fixes and implementation. Ø Primarily responsible for analysis, design, coding and testing of Java/ J2EE modules. Ø Design and document the system architecture specifications. Ø Implement various design patterns to promote code optimization, modularity and re-use. Ø Conduct status meetings to review deliverables. Perform code review. Ø Participate in quality assurance and review meetings for deliverables Ø Consolidate and report the status of project activities as well as develop and analyze metrics data Ø Monitor goals for the product and progress of the project Ø Extensively follow Scrum Agile methodology, conducting daily scrum calls, backlog grooming meetings, sprint planning and sprint retrospective meetings. Project Description: Global Registration Tool (GRT) is Avaya’s web based tool used for registering their products. Its Avaya’s business partner facing application which has major modules namely, Install base, Technical registration and Equipment removal.
