Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Pacific Drilling 2008 – 2018
Global responsibility for building IT group from the ground up for this $2B dollar start-up offshore drilling contractor. Major projects include new ERP selection and SAP implementation, Cloud hosting, infrastructure outsourcing, cloud messaging implementation, Cybersecurity monitoring, training and response, Active Directory domain design, Network design, IT standards, SOX planning and DRP/BCP planning. Significant accomplishments include and most notably, the first ever SAP Business Suite on HANA implementation and successful go-live, including delivery of real-time key metrics reporting and business intelligence. Led early adoption of Microsoft applications in the cloud, BPOS which was the first generation of Office 365. Delivered significant year over year overhead cost reductions by renegotiating all third-party services contracts, saving company $1M annually. Redesigned vessel VSAT network to provide reliable, cost effective, and resilient corporate, crew and IoT communications. Centrally managed IT services in US, Asia, South America, Luxembourg and West Africa. Responsibilities also encompass management of Facilities, Real Estate and general Administrative functions.

Responsible for managing all aspects of IT for this $450M dollar global energy services company. Major projects include new ERP selection and implementation, Messaging re-design, Active Directory and domain re-design, Network re-design, IT standards, SOX and DR plan. Successfully managed global rollout of SAP FI/CO, MM, AP and workflow. Centrally managed IT services in US, UK, Norway, Asia and South America.
Vice President, Applications Support, Amegy Bank 2002 – 2005
Responsible for managing Applications Support, Database Administration, Technical Support (Service Desk, PC Support, Client Technologies), Change Management and AS400/Data Processing Support - direct design, development, implementation, conversion, upgrade and maintenance functions involving 180 applications, including 60 concurrent projects. Significant work experience managing audit and compliance initiatives including SOX, COBIT and ITIL.
Director Technical Support and Customer Service, C & W a-Services 2000 – 2002
Director reporting to company President managing Technical Support (Pre-Sales and Post-Sales), Network/Order Provisioning, Service Delivery, Network Monitoring and Customer Care (help desk) functions for an Internet start-up Application Service Provider (ASP). A-Services was a joint venture of Microsoft, Compaq, and Cable and Wireless, which built the first Microsoft applications ASP, the precursor of what we now know as Office in the cloud/Office 365.

Managed 24/7 Computer and Network Operations Control Center, providing retail operational systems for Automotive Sales and Service and Parts network. Also, responsible for Data Center Operations, Telecommunications, Input / Output Control and Software Distribution departments. Primary developer for phase 1 backup and tape management system.
