Sr. Business Systems Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working independently and fully accountable for own work.

Defining technical specifications in alignment with business requirements.

Provide support to the client reporting side of the business.

Understanding of business needs and able to translate them into plans for technology solutions.

Moving reporting from legacy to AWS.

Will be performing data mapping.

Prepping requirements and will be the point person between the QA and dev team.

Performing enhancements to automation reporting.

Ensuring a lean-agile mind-set is applied to work projects and working in sprints.

Independently working on initiatives of moderate complexity, size, and impact.

Breaking down and communicating to non-technical audiences various complex or vague problems, options, and recommended steps to address.

Finding opportunities for process improvements.

Identifying when other team members need help and providing it in a clear, logical, and well documented way to ensure success.

Displaying dedication to helping the team overall.

REQUIREMENTS:

10 years working as a business or technical analyst.

Experience working with financial / investment data.

Experience reading code (VB Basic).

Experience working with investment data (requirements for, data mapping of, testing).

Strong excel skills (Excel Formula’s).

Good communication skills and ability to work independently on projects and tasks.

Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences using multiple forms such as verbal and written.

Strong analytical skill and experience working with Business team to refine user stories and getting them development ready.

Experience with database querying techniques including strong SQL skills.

Experience working with data and data models.

Experience identifying system/process/data needs and impacts (upstream and downstream).

Experience working with other teams or interfacing applications to identify, document and manage dependencies and potentially competing priorities.

Experience creating and/or executing test cases, test plans and identifying opportunities for test automation solutions.
